Hp laser jet printer 2055 problem output bin in full?

Check the flag that hangs down as the paper is exiting printer.... sometimes the flag gets stuck in the up position..(causing the printer to think there's a big stack of paper needed to be taken off the machine...found this from another fixya member.

there is a small flag sensor in the output tray over the roller that deliver the printed paper , its not return down after paper get out. so the the printer scene the tray is full , check it may lost if not try to lubricate the support pour it hasn't spring it move to its weight. or it may

not sure ,how to "instill"


but if you want to install it , insert the cd , follow steps and once the software tells you to connect the printer then connect it , not before!

software should be available on any HP website

Probably just a bad sensor or dirty sensor causing the issue.

Stacker or stacker/stapler output bins

For the 3,000-sheet stacker or 3,000-sheet stacker/stapler, the output bins are the upper bin (face-up) and the lower bin (face-down).

The upper bin (face-up) is the top bin on the stacker or stacker/stapler. This bin holds up to 100 sheets of paper in face-up order as they exit the printer. A sensor causes the product to stop when the bin is full. Product operation continues when you empty or reduce the amount of paper in the bin.

Lower bin (face-down) is the lower bin on the stacker or stacker/stapler. This bin holds up to 500 sheets of paper and can stack or staple jobs. This bin is the default output bin.

HP says: 1) remove all printed pages from output bin 2) "flick" the output bin lever with your finger
If fault continues, contact HP.

This is an error when it senses there are too many pages that have been printed and are sitting in the bin.

Take a close look at the flaps hanging out the exit for the printer. They should move up and down freely. If one of them is stuck up, broken or dislodged, you'll get the bin full error. The flaps on the other end (side you can't see) have little flags that sweep between photo sensors and tell the printer in the tray is full and if paper has exited the printer into the tray
