I have LG refrigerator LSC27950, there is ice in the icemaker& when I press the lever I hear humming noise for water and clicking noise for ice, but no ice or water are dispensing?

The error code dH on your LG refrigerator is indicating a water supply problem. This could be caused by a few different issues:
  1. Clogged or frozen water line: The water line supplying the icemaker and water dispenser may be clogged or frozen. This can prevent water from flowing to the icemaker and dispenser. Check the water line and make sure that it is not clogged or frozen.
  2. Water inlet valve: The water inlet valve that supplies water to the ice maker and dispenser may be faulty or clogged. This can prevent water from flowing to the icemaker and dispenser. You can check the water inlet valve and make sure it is functioning properly or if it is clogged.
  3. Water filter: A clogged water filter can prevent water from flowing to the icemaker and dispenser. If your refrigerator has a water filter, make sure that it is not clogged and has been replaced recently.
  4. Water pressure: If the water pressure is too low, it can prevent water from flowing to the icemaker and dispenser. Make sure that the water pressure in your refrigerator is adequate.
You should first try to check the water line, water inlet valve, water filter, and water pressure. If none of these solutions work, please contact a professional technician or LG customer service to diagnose and fix the problem.

How do i fix ice maker

Could be 2 different problems. Inlet water valve is a dual valve (2 halves). 1 half feeds water to the door dispenser, the other half fills the icemaker. The icemaker half could be bad or blocked up with sediment causing a no fill situation. 2nd problem could be the icemaker itself which sends power to the inlet valve when it needs filled. Usually the inlet valve fails first but you need to test and see.

No water from the Icemaker and Water Dispenser Dual Inlet Valve

if no water is going to both icemaker and water dispencer, check water supply to refrig. into valve.
If ok and valve is being energized by dispencer arm and icemaker, then it's probably a bad water valve

Ice maker not making ice, but water dispenser working, just changed filter

If you changed the filter than water may not have made it to the icemaker yet. If you have givin it 24hrs than check these.

There are only 3 things that will prevent an icemaker from not making ice.

1) Temperature in freezer. Most icemakers require that the temp in the freezer is at a minium of 6 degrees. If the thermostat in the icemaker is not reading this temp or below it will not let the icemaker call for water to make ice.

2) Icemaker. Is the arm on the icemaker in the correct position. Most models the arm should be down to operate and up to be off. Faulty icemaker. The internal components of the icemaker may have went out.

3) Water inlet valve. If the silinoid for the icemaker on the inlet valve is stuck it will not allow water to the icemaker. Over time inlet valves wear out.

Troubleshooting- Check the temp in freezer. If not 6 degrees or below you have another problem with your freezer. If at 6 degrees or below and you have ice and water through door unplug fridge, switch the two hoses from the inlet valve (NOT Possible on all inlets so check to make sure you can remove the hoses by pushing in on the cylinder that hose feeds into and pulling hose out) Switch the hoses than press the water through door feature. If you get water inlet valve is good. If you dont have ice and water though door than have your inlet valve tested. If inlet is good and temp is good replace icemaker. If you have any questions or need further assistance please respond. Thank you

Automatic icemaker stopped working yesterday. No problems before that. Arm is down, no problem with water line, (water still works in dispenser) temp is fine.

there are two solenoids that control water input. One foe the dispenser and one for the icemaker. Its called a double valve
and you have to replace both. even tho the dispenser is working.
Check ice tray for water if it has none pour it full and wait to see if it ejects after it freezes if it does then you probably need th double valve replaced if it don't then probably icemaker replacement

Water would not stop running into icemaker, now

The water inlet valve(where the water supply connects to the back) may have been staying open and now has burned so it don't work at all. . You can swap the wires on the dual water inlet valve and disconnect the water line at the valve which goes to the ice maker. When you try the water dispenser the water will come out there. When you stop the water dispenser, if the water at the valve doesn't stop, the valve isn't closing so you'll need to replace it.

My refrigerator water dispenser is not working. I

In the back of the refrigerator there is a water inlet valve. It will have three hoses one coming in, two going out. A 1/4 line for the icemaker and a 5/16" for the water dispenser. If your icemaker is working and you dont have water at the door the valve to the water dispenser is faulty, you need to replace the water inlet valve. If neither icemaker or water dispenser is working chek your water supply line

Icemaker not working

The ice maker valve is a dual one. with 2 solenoids. One solenoid operates the water and the other the ice maker. So if the water works that don't mean the ice maker supply is ok. The ice maker itself controls the flow of water. So if the water valve is ok then the ice maker is faulty. I have repair photos HERE

No water going in the ice maker but water dispener

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into icemaker . If it freezes and does not dump , replace the icemaker . Check to make sure the coils are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc . If it does dump , and does not refill with water , replace the water inlet valve ( piece behind refrig where the wall water line connects to on the fridge ) . Check to make sure the fill tube that fills the icemaker is not blocked with ice , still indicating a bad water inlet valve ( slow seep ) .

JCD2389GES water dispenser over-runs and also starts on own

Low water pressure can be very problematic when it comes to icemaker/water dispenser water inlet valves. If there is low water pressure to the valve, the valve may not seat correctly causing icemaker fill tubes to freeze, icemakers to over/under fill or water dispensers to leak or not shut off fast enough. Check the water pressure to the valve like this:

Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator and remove the water supply line from the water inlet valve behind the refrigerator.

Put the end of the water line in a bucket and turn the water supply on. There should be a good stream of water jetting from the tube. If there is not, the water supply shut off valve is probably plugged and needs to be replaced or there could be an in-line water filter that needs to be replaced. Only use a drill style (non-self piercing) saddle valve http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-584723-%3d%3di584723&PartID=584723 for the water supply.

If there is a good stream, the water inlet valve that the water line connects to at the back of the refrigerator should be replaced.

*Note: Reverse Osmosis (R/O) systems should never be used to supply water to icemakers.
