I have a Hyundai i30 2008 model. I can't find how to change the time format from AM:PM to 24 hours. The manual gives instructions for a different clock. Anyone know?

Dozens of models to choose from. All questions on Fixya need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words.

Here are some guesses. The 'control cover' is where you put the back-up battery.

To change the 12/24 hour time format, open the CONTROL COMPARTMENT COVER on the bottom of the clock and adjust the 12/24 TIME FORMAT switch to the desired format .

5. Press NEXT. Minute digits flash.
6. Press + or - to change minutes.
7. Press NEXT. Second digits flash.
8. Press + or - to set seconds to zero.
9. Press NEXT. Day of week flashes.
10. Press + to - to change day.
11. Continue pattern to set month, day of month, 12-hour or 24-hour time display, MM.DD or
DD.MM date format, turn hourly CHIME on/off, turn BEEP on/off. If you select BEEP on, a
beep will sound every time you push a button (except INDIGLO).
12. Press DONE to confirm and exit or NEXT to continue and set second time zone, if desired.

For 12 hour time format setting: Press the Alarm Ser Button durin time setting to set 12-hour 24-hour display format. Remember to set the correct AM or PM time (an icon to the right of the time display is the PM indicator ther is no AM indicator).
