Message came on to push a button for longer reading. I pushed it and now it isn't charging. What should I do to finish reading my book?

The battery on the Asus does take a very long time to charge (over 12 hours before you use it the first time, then 8 hours or more each time). It takes even longer if you charge it from the USB port in a computer rather than connect it to its dedicated charger, or if you use it while it's charging. If you've already charged it for 8-12 hours, try turning it on by pressing the power button *and holding it down* for a couple of seconds before releasing it. Then, when using the tablet, try keeping it hooked up to the charger when possible, or at least recharge it overnight.

You can check on battery charge by tapping "Settings" at the bottom of the Home screen, then tap "Battery" in the Device category. The % charge will be at the top of the screen. Unfortunatelly Kindle does not have this feature. But the books you read get pushed down the list.
Or you can delete the book by using these steps:

1. Select a book and click the left arrow on the 5-way button that brings up a delete button the screen.
2. Press the center button and you delete the book.

Another option is to move the book to a collection this is like to archive the books you already read.
