Porter Cable BSI550 W 5,500 Watt Generator With 10 Hp Engine No AC output

Sounds like the generator unit (sometimes called the generator head) has overheated and melted the insulation in the windings. This is the same as an electric motor "burning out", and if this is the case, then the generator is toast. If you happened to notice that the lights or fans were getting dim or slowing down before the breaker tripped (without the gas engine slowing down) then this is most likely the case and you generator is toast. But if the output just suddenly quit, then it is possible that some smaller electrical component has failed. In any case, it's not something external that you can easily reset or replace. Sorry for the bad news.

Is there a ground fault breaker or receptacle that it's plugged into or wired to. If it's triped it will hold it out from working. Can you get access to check and see if power is going to jet pump on tub.

I keep blowing the breaker when i hook the switch up every time i turn it on. i have already put in a bigger breaker. this is an old house with old loop and bulb wireing.

if your breaker is triping you have a short somewhere if you have a meter turn power off and set the meter to continuiny or the setting to see if you have a open line if it has a beeping function that will work . you have three wires white-neutral black-hot green-ground . if you clip one lead to ground say on a metal box or the ground wire and with the power off you should get a beep with the neutral wire but the hot side should not beep if it does it means it is shorted to ground and you have to trace it from there to find the proplem a bigger breaker will not change the problem please write me back if you need more help will talk on phone to run you through problem

I triped my breaker that controlled the unit and reset breaker but of the 2 green lights the one on the left is blinking unit power on but doesnt stay on for but a few miniutes please advise the unit...

Please don't try again and again. The breaker tripping is an indication of fault in your a/c.

Check indoor and out door for loose contacts. If anything, rectify. Check blower motor, fan motor and compressor for grounding. Check with an ohms meter, keep one end with any tewrminal and second with ground. If anything reading even 00.00, it's grounding. The particular spare/s to be replaced. Call repairman to check, if you're not aware of it. Thanks.

I have a Panasonic microwave model nn-sa616wx sn 58100747 it keeps triping the breaker after it operates for awhile we have taken a amp reading and it draws 17.2 amp. This is a new microwave.

Safety first, unplug your microwave from socket outlet.Needs to troubleshoots series of components using eliminating method to know which component(s) that causes breaker to trip off. It is obvious that a componet(s) "shorted out".Remove your fuse and replace it with resetable breaker tested.
Remove leads of the transformer output(secondary side). plug power cord run the microwave. If does not trip off the cct breaker change your transformer. do the same to capacitor lead, one after the other until you discover which component that shorted and cause your cct breaker to trip off.
