They company simplicity for children is making the exact same products as simplicity with the exact same models contact them, if you get no where contact you local better business bureau, as they still do have the parts and are required to provide you with parts as they took over the company. I have heard of many others who have been told "they no longer have the parts" but with in days of contacting their local BBB they receive the parts that they "no longer had" THEY DO EXIST THEY JUST DO NOT WANT TO STAND BEHIND THE OLD NAMES PRODUCTS all they did was go out of business and reopen under a new name Simplicity for Children they are still alive and well I think they are just trying to get out of the bad press associated with their old name, since they were the makers of the 10,000+ cribs recalled just over a year ago, people started no trusting the name, so hence the name change and the "we are not them" routine. I think it is nonsense, they still make the exact same products under and new name, so they do have parts they just do not want to deal with it
This bassinet really has been recalled due to strangulation hazards since two babies have died in it this way, do yourself the safe and easy solution, just take it back to the store for a full refund. Save a babies life and your sanity in not having to deal with this crazy stupid company who will not deal with their mistakes made under their old name (hint their address never changed, just their name!)

tell any one you know to take it back to the store they got it at, they are giving full refunds, if given any hassle tell them to contact their local BBB or CSP, as Simplicity, may be "out of Business" but Simplicity for Children (their new Name) is the exact same company as you mentioned, still making the same products, to get help in getting their money back

they are the same company who made the cribs recalled under the drop side recall a year ago (Graco name was on some of the cribs) but they were all made by Simplicity or Simplicity for children

All that really happened is the company Simplicity was bought out by another company and took the new name Simplicity for Children, who is very much alive and well

The BBB has assisted many other consumers with getting parts for other items made by the old company from them New named company even though they said "the parts do not exist" they magically appear after the BBB calls them.

First, I would be very cautious. Several of these cribs were recalled. You can check the Consumer Products Safety Commission to see if your crib was involved.

Secondly, this company went out of business and I was unable to contact anyone about ordering parts or manuals. Unfortunately the new company that bought them, isn't taking responsiblity for any Products from the original Manufacturer.

Note, the website phone number and email are non working.
