Business page and Personal page

I have a business page attached to my personal page. We have an outside company doing referrals and calls for our business and take testimonials from the patient. Those can be displayed on facebook. When I go into set it up I have to put my personal account login in to the outside company and when the testimonials come on Facebook they look like I am the one sharing them. Yet Facebook says that Business and Personal can be separate. How can I manage this or do I have to open a separate account for the business.

It's simple to create a Facebook business page just like you have created your personal page. But it's really important to have a separate business page for your business promotions, it brings more valuable leads and helps you build your brand.

Yes, business and personal page should be separated. You can simply use your personal page to promote your page, ask friends to like your page, share posts, however creating a facebook business page is a great way to build your brand and gain trust.

Hi Dave,

Facebook always says that. I have been back 19 times but with different email addresses. Go ahead and kill both pages and set the new one up. This would be a great time for a new fan email as well.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Trying to create a business facebook page.

What you are talking about is a facebook profile. It is against the Facebook TOS to create profiles (accounts) that are not of real people or to have multiple accounts. However you can create a page which works almost the same as an account (it has a wall, etc) but people become FANs of the page rather than friends. You can run your page from your personal account on facebook and the two will remain distinct (separate).

Want to set up a business presence on Facebook but don’t want to have a personal presence? No problem! A little known feature of Facebook is the ability to create business accounts. However if you already have a personal account, keep in mind that you cannot create a separate business account. However if you would like to avoid setting up a personal account and would like to keep things professional, you can take a few steps to get things configured.

From the business account you will be able to manage Facebook advertising campaigns as well as Facebook Pages. In order to get your business account set up, all you’ll need to do is create a Facebook Ad or create a Facebook Page. After you’ve created the page or advertisement, Facebook will ask you to enter your login information or the option to select “I do not have a Facebook account”. At that point all you need to do is enter your business email address and date of birth. That’s it! Now you have a business account on Facebook. One thing that you should keep in mind is that if you have a personal account and go through this process, there is a very good chance Facebook will shut down both accounts. In other words: don’t create multiple accounts. I have received multiple emails from people that don’t want to set up personal accounts though so for those individuals that have not explored Facebook, you can proceed to set up a business account.
While I think advertising on Facebook or creating a page doesn’t make much sense without thoroughly understanding how Facebook works, the company has at least provided the option for those that don’t want a personal account.

Go to your personal facebook profile, bring your the mouser over your profile picture and an option should appear beside the picture saying "change profile picture" or "edit profile picture" click it. After that just browse through your pictures and select one or upload from your computer.
