Today I started getting F16 error for my Panasonic SA-HT440 home theater system. Based on the knowledge base I checked both the fans are working fine as soon as the power switch is pressed. Looks like IC problem. Could someone please help me with the steps and part number of replacement. If I scrap the receiver can I use the all the four speakers?

Although the Panasonic Home Theater systems are great when they work properly. If your machine displays the "f61" error message, it's likely to be little more than a paper weight for the average person. The inner workings of the machine are rather complex to disassemble for diagnostics. And can take several hours to check all the components. The best advice I can give you is to sell the machine on e-bay as a broken item. If you offer shipping you can get more money for a complete system (speakers & all).

SOURCE: F16 error occurs when trying to switch on DVD Home Cinema System

F16? I've seen F61. Usually an output IC problem, but it can be caused by a bad fan.
Remove the fan. Remove the sticker from the fan. Remove the small round piece of plastic (if it has one) from under the sticker. Put a couple of drops of oil or wd40 it it and spin the fan blades several times. Replace piece of plastic and sticker. Re-install the fan. Good Luck.

SOURCE: I have a Panasonic SA-HT650 Home Theater system

A power source problem. Means there is voltage measured at the output/speaker cable connections. Indicates a failure of the amp., or faulty power supply to it.

Just re-check all of your connections, especially speakers. And that the power ac power source from the wall is wired correctly and has proper voltage and grounding.

Panasonic sa-vk800 when the volume up the unit is shoot down than display f16

Check all of your speaker wire connections at both ends for looseness, strand wire fraying/breakage, correct polarity and corrosion. If all are ok, reduce your setting for the amount of bass it outputs.

Turn on dvd panasonic sc-ht440 the display see me f61

Hi, F61 is and amp error code. probably needs an output ic. could be a shorted speaker or bad cooling fan. Disconnect all speakers and turn it on. if the fans run and it still displays f61 then odds are very good an amp ic is bad.'''Hope it helped.

Have a nice day..
