Thread got caught under bobbin, took out 2 pieces that bobbin fits into, May have replaced them wrong???? Help.
SOURCE: needle picks up bobbin thread but then thread gets stuck
I've had similar problems (as well as other problem with the thread breaking all the time and the "shuttle race" thing that holds the bobbin falling out. One very important thing that isn't mentioned in the manual but that the salesman stressed is that you have to use only "Schmetz" brand needles. They are a tiny bit longer, but that makes all the difference in the world if your stitches are skipping. I forgot and used Singer needles and had horrible results.
SOURCE: I have a Necchi 537FA sewing machine. It sill sew
have you checked to see if the needle is bent-lay the needle on a flat surface & roll the needle over,, if the needle does not roll good -replace
blunt needle-if the needle makes a popping sound when the needle penetrates the fabric,,the needle is blunt-replace
sometimes if the thread comes off the thread take-up lever it can jam the thread in the bobbin area
try rethreading the machine
check to make sure the thread isn't wrapping around the spool pin
check the spool of thread to see if the notch on the spool is catching the top thread
check to see if there's a burr on the bobbin case
I hope one of these suggestions helps you
please rate this using the thumbs in upper right hand corner

Make sure the bobbin has a 3-5 inch thread tail
Then make sure the top thread has a 3-5 inch tail
Then hold the top thread tail with your fingers (away from the needle)
& use the hand wheel on the right hand side of the machine to slowly
Lower the needle in the bobbin area & see if the bobbin thread will pick
Up that way

Hello
Open the shuttle cover, rotate the hand wheel toward you to raise the needle out of the way to its highest position.
Pull on the latch of the bobbin case, lift the whole case out of the shuttle and release the latch. The bobbin should spring free. Load a bobbin wound with fresh thread by sliding it into the bobbin case with the thread running clockwise. Feed the thread through the slot in the case and pull the thread under the tension spring, drawing out about 3 to 4 inches of slack.
Holding the latch of the bobbin case open, position the case into the shuttle and release it to lock into place. you might have to slide the bobbin case along a spindle and align it with a groove before releasing the latch.
Raise the presser foot and hold a length of thread from the needle loosely. Crank the hand wheel slowly to dip the needle into the throat plate. Tug on the end of the thread that you're holding from the needle and pick up the thread from the bobbin. Pull both threads to the back of the presser foot. Lower the presser foot before sewing.
Good luck
SOURCE: Plastic casing around the bobbin
The red plastic piece sits adjacent to the inner metal piece with the sharp hook assembly. It does not sppear in the drawings in the manual. There is a cutout at its center that fits over the metal head protruding from the inner metal piece. When placed correctly you can see that the red piece fits precisely into the circumference of the metal housing in which it rotates. The outer metal piece is secured by the two black swing arms and the bobbin can then be easily replaced as usual. It helps to tilt the machine back slightly when inserting these pieces but be careful not to lose the red plastic piece inside. If it drops in it can be retrieved with a pair of needle nose pliers or similar.
