Moved photos off laptop to external drive using Windows Photo Gallery. I wanted to copy is there a way to move folder from folder and put back in Windows Photo Gallery?

With most devices you the two devices and treat the photo frame like an external hard drive. Open Explorer and copy/paste the pictures to the preferred folder on the hard drive. Then delete pictures it you want; don't cut/paste and lose all through a mishap.

Copy photos to a computer (onto a folder on the desktop) then to the phone via a usb cable.
Use the windows explorer to move files and not the canon software.
When you plug phone into the computer it will come up as another drive, just use explorer to navigate to the folder where your photos should be and paste them there.

all you do is right click on the folder or picture you want to move and it will give you the option to copy or cut,cut will remove it from your laptop.so i am taking it you have connected the external hard drive already..if not you will need to attach the external hard drive useing a usb cable from the external hdd to your laptop.
so when you have cut what ever you want to move open your external hdd and right click inside there and and just pick paste that will put it on your external hdd the item you have just cut from your laptop.

If you at the moment can't afford a backup drive use a free one like Google Docs. Just go to google and sign up then you can backup your photos and document to Googles secure server.

You can never have too many backups. Backing them up to a external hard drive of a usb flash drive is a good method. Good luck.

They may be elsewhere on your hd.
Try doing a search IMG to see what comes to light. I hope you can find them.

It depends on where you are copying the pictures from. Are these photos already on your computer? A thumb drive? Or are you trying to copy photos from a website?

If you have photos on your computer or an external drive like a thumb drive that you want to "copy" to a folder, you simply highlight the files, right click, select copy, then go to the folder where you want to put the photos, right click and select paste.

If you want to "move" the files from one folder to another it is slightly more complicated. The easiest method is to have both folders open and visible on your computer. Highlight the photos you want to move, hold down the left mouse button and drag the photos to the new folder.

I don't use the photo gallery, myself. I just let windows detect the drive, then view the files, and move them into a Folder on the Desktop. Then I rename the folder and put it in the Photo User Album. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem. What I did was in My Pictures, I selected the ones that I wanted to use for the keychain. Then, I downloaded them to a new folder (renamed the folder). I highlighted the new folder and sent "moved to" the C drive. Once I went back into photoviewer, I was able to see the folder after I double clicked on the C drive and the pictures were there.
