When my janome 350e did this I had to take it in to be calibrated and one month later it did it again and I had to take it back it has not given me any problems since but it would be nice to know how to do this myself it only took 5 minutes for this and takes me 3 hours there and 3 hours back. I do not believe so--my 300e uses standard flash memory cards plugged into an adapter--the salesperson tried to tell me I needed a very expensive add-on--it isn't so! The instruction manual will probably explain it.
Your space is not formatted correctly to the size of the hoop. For example if the hoop is 5x7 your design has to fit within that space, and the space cannot be bigger than 5x7. Strange but true and it will fix the reboot and shut down issue.
