SOS means that the phone is only authorized for emergency type calls. Apparently the cellular carrier isn't accepting the SIM card you installed or it needs some sort of activation. Usually just swapping a SIM card from one phone to another is not enough to change phones within a carrier network. You usually have to contact the carrier as well and they do some magical mumbo-jumbo and then the new phone will operate.

My Mobile Network reads SOS

switch off your blackberry, remove the back cover and battery, and remove the sim card. Replace it after about one minute and it should not read SOS anymore.
If it still reads SOS, insert your sim card into another cellphone to see if it also reads SOS in a different phone. If it does, you need to call the company you bought the sim card from.
Eg; if it's an MTN sim card, call MTN; if it's Vodacom, call Vodacom etc.

My blackberry shows only sos when i put local sim card

SIM card is either bad or not authorized to work on that carrier network. Make sure the SIM card is installed correctly.

Invalid sim

1. (easyer way) When I got my Blackberry, I had to put it in a couple of times for it to work.

2. Buy a new sim card.
If this does not work, then check to see if it is unlocked.
