SOURCE: remote control codes

Here is the link to Polaroids phone support page. I suggest that everyone call Polaroid and complain about this issue since many people are having this same problem, and Polaroid's answer to me was maybe we will have some codes for our new TV's by Jan of next year.

Picture size

I found the user manual online, and the pictures in it are really helpful and make this make a lot more sense, but:
1. Press [SCREEN MODE], to switch the TV aspect ratio.
2. Press [SCREEN MODE] repeatedly until the normal screen displays.
NOTE: • Some programs may not offer all display mode options.
4:3 Programming
[Sidebar] Sidebar displays a 4:3 picture at its standard 4:3 size. Sidebars will be displayed on the right and left edges of the screen.
[Full] Full displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 4:3 picture at a 16:9 size, with less horizontal elongation necessary to fill the screen because a little bit of the top and bottom edge of the screen will be cut off.
[Wide] Wide displays the center of the picture as original size and the outer sides of the picture will be elongated. The size of the picture will depend on the original signal.
16:9 Programming
[Full] A picture is displayed at 16:9 size as it is.
[Zoom] Zoom displays a 16:9 picture without changing its horizontal and vertical ratio, at its maximum size.
[Cinema] Cinema displays a 16:9 picture with vertical elongation.
[Expand] Expand displays a 16:9 picture with horizontal elongation

My TV. When in zoom how do I get it out direct TV remote

try this, locate the slide switch, top middle of remote. slide to indicator marked TV. locate format button upper left second one down, try this button, it is the one that is most often associated with the screen aspects such as zoom , cinema, wide normal, etc. if it does not work in tv mode switch back dtv mode (slide all the way to the left) and try format again. if this does not fix your problem please re post

Bought a 19inch LCD Insignia TV yesterday at Best Buy. Everthing works fine except the picture won't fill out the whole screen. Can't find anything in the menu to adjust this.

On you remote control or panel buttons press the menu button. Using you on screen menu, use the up and down arrows to find the Settings Function, use right arrow to enter sub-menu. Use the up and down arrows to find the aspect ratio setting. Use the right arrow to enter the sub-menu.From here you can change the picture setting to : Normal wide 1: Wide 2 : Zoom: Cinema. Once you found your preferred viewing picture, set you choice with the enter button. Then use the menu or escape buttons to close the on screen menu. I hope this helps you with your problem.

Hi lm522,
You must change the aspect ratio.
  1. While viewing an image that dosen't fill the screen
  2. With the original remote
  3. Press  the Picture button on the remote
  4. This you allow you to cycle through options like Wide, Fill, Cinema
  5. Find the one that looks the best.
These instructions are not very specific, I will need the TV make and model for better instructions. Let me know how it goes and please rate this solution.
