My washing machine will'nt wash and little water come out to fill it

Try closing the water valves a little at a time until it is quite enough for you. Do not close it completely.

Washing machines work a little like when filling up the car with fuel. If you feed it in too fast it keeps stopping delivering. Try reducing the water pressure coming into the machine by throttling back hose inlet at the tap by closing it slightly. Will take a second or two longer to fill but will allow more water in before cutting off.

may have something blocked in the pump outlet valve
your washing machine will let out your water if you put your pump hose on the floor

Not sure if this was explained to u but these washers do not fill like the old top loads did... the machine uses very little water, the clothes are rolled over and over through the water as it cascades down and up through the agitator. If you look at the agitator you'll notice it does not have an elongated spindle, it's not required. Although the machine doesn't fill your clothes will be fully washed, this design was developed to conserve water...

The pressure switch, also called the water level switch, is what control the amount of water goes in the machine, If your machine is constantly filling to the overflow point, then that is your problem. Now, if water is going in and the level is staying the same then your machine drain line is lower than the pump and your siphoning out the water as it goes in. Pull the drain up a little a that should fix the problem.

NF = No Fill the control board receives signaling for the washer during the water fill cycle. With most cycles the depth of water is around 3.5 inches in the wash basket. I know a Bulky Wash cycle selection will fill the wash tub to a high fill which is about 7.5 inches of water in the wash basket.

Is the washer filling the machine with any water? Do you hear water entering the machine? If you are doing a cold water fill and there is no or very little water in the wash basket with the NF error code. Try a Warm or Hot fill and see if the machine will fill and start the wash cycle.

Assuming you are doing cold water wash loads. You could have a water line block at the inlet screen or a failed cold water inlet valve which will not open. Try the above and let me know the results..........Rich

The water inlet valve is passing a little water through in the unenergized state. Turn the water supply valves off and wait. If the filling up stops replace the machine's inlet valve and if you can, flush your water pipes and water heater before hooking the washer back up
