Why does door open too far and is not horizontal to the floor when open?

The door on my dishwasher opens too far and is not horizontal to the floor when open. The door springs and cables are in good condition. Is there an adjustment mechanism somewhere?

Besides spring streaches out over time or one rope breaks. Their are like three spots to hook spring to get tension for door. I just replaces both ropes as one broke and hooked springs in middle hole. Takes more time to pull washer out then to replace the ropes

SOURCE: WHEN OPENING THE DISHWASHER DOOR, IT DROPS QUICKLY.

Actually I found out that for a LG dishwasher it is as likely to be the cable/cord attached to the spring and door. This a very odd setup in that this cable is made of nylon cord, and not any thicker than a round shoelace! It clearly should be metal cable, and it's not that hard to replace the nylon stuff with steel. Anyway, it is worth it to pull the unit out and open the side panel to see if in facts it's a broken cord or spring first before ordering any parts.

SOURCE: LD-14AW2 door hinge support broken

First of all, it's probably not the door spring, but the hinge cable that's broken. It's essentially a rope with plastic connectors that hook the spring to the hinge. Go ahead and order two new hinges and two hinge cables and replace them all while you're at it. You'll have to pull the dishwasher out by removing the two upper screws in the counter, and the two lower screws in the kickplate. If yours is like mine, it'll also be necessary to shorten the legs to scoot it out. Then, remove the side panels by taking the screws out of the front and back sides - don't miss the one at the bottom. About 2/3 up the front edge, there's a little metal catch that has a slot in it. Hook the top of your spring into that, and hook the lower end into one end of the hinge cable (rope). Loop the rope through the pulley and hook the other end on the hinge.

I have the same problem. The springs look intact. Maybe some stepped on the door when it was opened and it stretched the springs. I'm going to replace them and see what happens

Granddughter stood on dishwasher door and now it goes down too far when opening. Spring assembly (pulley type) is FINE...but door goes so far down bottom shelf nearly breaks dishes when pulling out

This happens when people leave the door down, I've seen it many, many times, sometimes the door/hinge assembly can be replaced or even bent back, sometimes it totals out the unit...Good luck !

Kitchenaid dishwasher door does not stay up in the open position.

On each side of the dishwasher, near the ground, is a nylon cord and pulley apparatus that keeps the door from flopping down when opened. It probably needs some adjustment of the tension on the cord.

My soap won't dissolve during the cycle.

You are not getting enough water or you are losing the water during wash cycle. Is you dishwasher new or older? How is it plumbed in? If it is plumbed through the floor you will have to put and air gap in to keep the water in it. All tall tub dishwasher have to be plumbed properly.

Tried to replace bosch soap dispenser model shu3036uc/u12

Wire positioning doesn’t matter to soap dispenser. If water is leaking from the door then the dispenser is not pressed in properly against its seal. As far as the door not opening if wires are connected perhaps the problem is in the control module. Voltage meter on wiring to dispenser should indicate this while machine is running at start of quick wash cycle. (First 5 minutes of cycle on heating)
