SOURCE: Retro Popcorn Maker crank handle connection to kettle

The crank handle screws in counter-clockwise so it doesn't unscrew when you dump the kettle. Try that.

Nostalgia electrics RKP630 replacement parts

You can order new switches online. Just go to Nostalgia website. They'll have replacement switches. I'm trying to find the exterior handle that you use to empty the popcorn out of the kettle? I'm having a tough time finding it

I DO NOT HAVE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY KPM-508 POPCORN POPPER

The instructions say make sure kettle motor is plugged in. Turn unit ON with switch on crown of machine. Allow unit to run for 3-5 minutes to heat up kettle. Turn unit off. Add 2 teaspoons of your favorite popcorn cooking oil to the kettle. Then add 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels to the kettle. Turn the unit on and close the door. When popping sound slows down turn the unit OFF. Flip the kettle over with the crank handle to empty the kettle. Repeat process until desired amount of popcorn has been popped.

My popcorn machine wont heat up

First, if you have another cord like this one (for example, a coffee pot cord) plug it into the popper and see if it works.

If it's not the cord, it's probably a blown thermal fuse inside the unit. Could be a heating element broken as well. If you don't have appliance repair experience, I would take it to a repair shop.

Back to basics machine-Is the cover supposed to be fastened on by the big clip under the handle?

yes, this popper is the same at the Whirley Pop, which is the original. There shoud be a clip on the side opposite of the handle and one that is underneath the handle. Both should be fastened.
