I pulled out the screen to clean it and it was hung on something. I got the screen out but now there is some sort of plug/sensor hanging on the left side.

Drained water from unit and unit still shuts off with lights still flashing.

pull plug wait a few minutes lite comes from float switch or wet switch make sure its not hung up or wet.

My LG dehumidifier has an error display CH01 and says it has a full bucket when I never use the bucket. I purchased the sensor part from Appliance Factory parts and find it is not quite as easy to install...

Hi

If this is the same as the original part then you can follow the wiring through the casing, sometimes you can tie a piece of thin cord to the cables as you pull them through and then use this to pull the new cables back.

Do you have the bucket, as lots of these sensors need to be plugged into the bucket to operate properly. Even if you are using the drain hose.

Another thing worth noting is that often when the sensor reads a fault it can be just dirt or slime on the sensor, a good clean with an old toothbrush and warm soapy water can often acheive excellent results.

Be Safe or don't do it....

On the side with the lint screen, remove the five screws holding the top panel in place. The sensor that needs to be checked in mounted on the radiator fins. Remove the sensor and 4 pin connector. With a pin, remove the loose fitting housing the "sensor"...a circuit board that "shorts" with condensation...check corrosion and look for component damage on the oft chance the circuit board was damaged by some inappropriate poking or mechanical failure. Reassemble and replace sensor...

For a short life span...or out of warranty and only at your risk (IF have significant other or kids or pets or human DNA... don't do this...) .. guide wire through screen notch and attach to outer screen. Build fortress around exposed sensor and talk to insurance agent for a special rider...seriously be careful.



Did you? Clean screen and GENTLY clean fins of lint, etc....(vacuum's brush head should do the trick...)

Taking all appropriate safety precautions.

Here's the 100,000 (yen) tip....with humidifier unplugged, hold down the power button (green button in lower center) and plug in the appliance.

Watch the LCD screen as it conducts a self test...and wha...lah!.

Should have a working humidifier!

What does an E3 error code mean on a Delonghi DE500pc dehumidifier

Condensation sensor was tripped...needs to be dried/cleaned/repaired (on lint screen side remove plastic panel. The sensor is clipped to radiator fins.

Not removing water and says tank it full

I just had one giving me the somewhat the same problem. Upon taking it apart I found that the entire inside was filthy. This thing runs in a work area in my basement and sucks up all of the dirty air. When you take the water out of the dirty air you have nothing but the dirt and the water. When you mix those together you get mud which is what clogged everything up in mine.

Dehumidifiers need to be clean on the inside to run properly especially all of the fins on the condensor. You will probably have to take it apart and clean it. Concentrate on the fins and the water collection areas. Dehumidifiers remove heat from the air which causes the humidity to collect on the condensor. As it collects it turns into water droplets. Gravity pulls the water droplets into the water collection areas and that flows to your tank. There is some sort of float in your tank that lets the dehumidifier know it is full and shuts it off with some sort of switch. It does this so it does not just keep running and eventually pour water onto your floor. It sounds like your switch and/or float is stuck. Find the float and switch and manually work them to make certain they are working freely, clean if necessary.

If the dehumidifier does not remove water like it should it is probably not getting good airflow. There are ice sensors on the evaporator that tells the compressor to stop working. However the fan will still run to pull warm air across the ice so that it melts, goes into the water collection area and into your tank. Some of these ice sensors work by measuring air flow. If there is no air flow or very limited air flow the sensor will tell the compressor not to work. The fan will run again to melt the ice so that it melts and is removed. If your condensor is dirty and does not allow the air to flow, this could cause your problem.

Hi When I set the humidity level,the units continues to run regardless of setting,and I have it set to auto. I have unplugged,checked filter and removed/installed water tank.Nothing seems to help.

In this case the humiidistat / humidity sensor will need replacing. Contact the mfr - details on your user manual - to find out where their service centres are and how much it will cost.

Error Code E-3

i don't know if this will help i have a delonghi portable ac and the e3 means not enough voltage to run properly. but it was doing the same thing as yours. i plugged it in where i knew there was good enough voltage and it works fine now

"CH 01" shows on the display screen

This will need to be serviced. LG has a 5 year warranty on these models. They usually will tell you of a service center nearby which will service it free of charge since it is under warranty. If you do not live near a service center they may ship you a replacement and you send your old dehumidifier back to them. Make sure you have your reciept when you contact them so they can verify it is under 5 years old.
