When using my IKEA FRAMTID OV9 oven.....when the oven is turned on why does the time show and not the temperature?

Most likely the element at the bottom. In some cases the hot air element (behind a panel in the oven). To change the bottom element is super easy and the part is approximately 30usd. The problem is caused by poor quality elements. Easy to solve, but shame on Ikea, or should I say Electrolux who is manufacturing the framtid ov9. "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux" from the 60s are still valid;-)

Unplug or isolate the electric before doing anything.
Check if you need to take the oven out or if you can remove the heating element by unscrewing a few nuts and bolts from within the oven itself .
Elements cost about £10 - £15 in the UK and are available from Ebay or Electrical Parts wholesalers or alternatively from the company itself if you can find a manufacturer , The name shown on the product may just be a Logo brand name but manufactured by a larger company for a specific store.

Timer

To Turn Tones Off/On: Press and hold TIMER SET until a tone

sounds. The display will show "TIMER" and "NA9 On" or

"TIMER" and "NA9 OFF." To remove from the display, press

UPPER OFF, LOWER OFF or OFF/CANCEL. Repeat to turn
back on.

It is possible the oven sensor is going bad.

I've had the same problem. The manual said the F11 errorcode indicates that the meat probe hasn't been inserted properly. Ofcourse I do not use the meatprobe for the pyro cleaning, but I decided to insert it anyway. After insterting it I first took it out and turned the oven on. No effect. Then I turned it off, inserted the meatprobe again and turned it on again WITH the meatprobe inserted and PRESTO! everything worked again!

At the bottom of this is a link to the manual, it shows details starting on page 22 of how to clean.

Remove the racks and pans from the oven.

1. Move the Lock Lever to the right-the Clean position.
When the oven temperature goes above normal baking/roasting temperatures, the door cannot be opened and the Lock Lever must not be moved.

2. Set the Oven Selector and Oven Temperature Control Knob to
CLEAN.

3. Make sure the clock and Start and Stop Times all have the correct time of day.
4. Push in and turn the Stop Time Knob clockwise two or three
hours. The OVEN HEATING Indicator Light will come on. l Use two hours for light soil. l Use three hours or more for moderate to heavy soil.
NOTE: Make sure the Start Time Knob is not pushed in.

5. After the Self-Cleaning cycle is completed and the oven has
cooled enough, the Lock Lever can be moved back to the left.
DO NOT FORCE the Lock Lever. Wait until it moves easily. Turn the Oven Selector and Oven Temperature Control Knob to OFF.

6. After the oven is cool, wipe off any residue or ash with a damp cloth.
If needed, touch up spots with a soapy steel-wool pad.
