You need to ring your Service Provider and ask then why your phone specific IMEI has been blocked (thus causing the SIM registration failure).

It could just be a faulty SIM but if the IMEI has been blocked, then you need to find why if you just bought the device as blocked IMEI are usually listed as 'missing' illegal devices ...

BTW - if your phone firmware was unofficially updated, then your phone IMEI might also have been changed resulting in an illegal IMEI or no IMEI!

The unique IMEI code allocated to your phone has been blocked because your phone has most likely been reported as stolen or using a fake/illegal IMEI.

If it is not the case, and if you are the original owner and you are using the original IMEI as indicated on your device identification label, contact your Mobile service provider and ask them how to remove this IMEI number from the worldwide shared IMEI blocked list.

You have to contact your service provider .

The IMEI (serial number) block on the phone, which stops it being used with a different SIM card, this may take up to 48hours to clear.
