I have a Carrier 38QCA036 and was wondering if there is any model I ca replace it with, without changing all the pipes ect

if the unit you want to replace it with uses the same gas then there is no need to change out the pipes
if the replacement unit uses r312 gas the pipe fittings are a different size so new pipes will be used as there is a higher operating pressure ( pipe wall thickness will be larger)and to stop people mixing gasses and compressor oils different fittings are used
so look at the models and see what gas they use

Hi guys, i have a 2002 thunderbird and installed a set of reverse cone pipes, much like the old norton pipes. the pipes are made by D&D in fort worth texas,.they are a beautifully made pipe but since...

It sounds like you have changed the mixture by reducing back pressure on the exhaust.
The mixture will need to be richer to stop the popping.
On carburetor models you change the jets and fuel injection you change the computer. The maker of the pipes will have suggestions

1100 Dragstar Fitting Straight Pipes

We have changed a few bikes from standard pipes to drag pipes. Their is a few considerations here, sea level or at what altitude, how much back pressure. so my suggestion rather take it before fitting the pipes to someone with a dyno, run and record the test, then have the pipes fitted, and let the same shop to the test again on there dyno, they will then know what to do with the jetting, because you should achieve better results with your new pipes.

Exhaust pipes discolored

It may indicate that but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it. If the bike sat for a long time while running, the exhaust can get hot enough to discolor the pipes...but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the motor. Improper carburetor settings can make the bike run lean (not enough fuel) which, in turn, can cause a hotter than normal exhaust and discolor the pipes...again, this does not indicate there is anything wrong with the motor. Ask if the pipes are stock or after-market. After-market pipes are a minefield for motorcycle riders. When the manufacturer puts the stock pipes on, they are tuned to the motor to give peak performance which usually results in little to no bluing of the pipes. Aftermarkets can throw the tune off and discoloration is the result. Ask the seller if there have been any changes to the bike...such as after-market pipes, rejetting the carburetor, changing the intake, etc. Most likely the seller will say yes, there have been some changes made. Please note: THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE BIKE IS BAD OR THE ENGINE IS WRONG.

Vw t4 1995 2.4 diesel brake problem, brakes no feel, changed servo

To check the vacum pump.all you have to do is remove the pipe from the servo, and with the engine running that pipe should be sucking.place finger over the pipe and check. If its not sucking then check the pipe for cracks. If the pipe is ok then replace the pump

Our new LG dishwasher makes loud clunking noise

I believe this is a brand new dishwasher. Please listen carefully to determine of the sound you hear (clunk) is being made inside the dishwasher or is it being made near by. Most times, the problem is that the hot water pipe is baking the noise when the dishwasher closes the water inlet valve ... and the pipe goes "clunk"
I have not had an LG dishwasher make a clunking sound inside itself when the cycle changes. Also, because this dishwasher is so very quiet (well insulated) the pipe banging would be louder than something inside the Dishwasher.
If you have access to the hot water pipe, listen very near it when the cycle changes for the sound. Follow that pipe (hot water) pipe back and insulate it at the point it is banging. (or get a plumber to evaluate and resolve.)
Please get back to me with what you find, OK?
Good Luck!
