What happens when you take the bluray hdmi out? or turn the bluray power off from wall? can you connect audio from bluray with a separate cable? often one device overrides the other. there may be a way of daisy chaining the devices

Start by changing the lamp. If you got 5 years out of the old one, count your blessings, most folks only get three. The lamp is designed to be replaced by the consumer. Ebay will carry a replacement for you or you can get it directly from rivervalleyelectronics.net. They've got good prices. The lamp door is on the back. Its really easy, give it a shot.
You should check to see if the sound is really coming from the TV- you may have the sound from the directTV cable box composite audio red and white RCA connectors.
Try connecting from the audio out of the TV to the stereo
Try the menu and see if you can adjust vertical and horizontal hold.

I had the same problem, green screen, no picture, audio OK. DVD player had a picture. Our other TVs were OK. Cable provider had me unplug my cable box for 30 seconds and plug it back in and now it works! I found this out by an online chat with my cable provider.
Try a reset frist by unplugging for 2 minutes then restart the TV. If you only paid $300 for the TV you will most likely pay more than that for repairs and parts to fix it otherwise.
These tv does have loose of audio problems im concern about looseing picture . Try unplugging tv for 5 minutes it will reset tv very common fix for audio. Tv that are less then a year old are sometimes covered under new warr call manufacture on that.
There is a microprocessor on these that lockup and when you unplug it. it resets it.
