There are thermal fuse under the chair where the batteries are . This is to protect the motors from overheating and ruining them . The fuses are availible on ebay or any medical supply store that deals with wheel chair . I replaced the ones on my mother - in laws Chair and anyone who has a little mechanical ability can change them . They were $10 Each when I replaced hers last December . It is alot cheaper than the motors . That is why they are made that way . Good Luck !!!!!!!!!
Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On paper those batteries are both the same. There are some subtle differences. Without using an amp meter on your chair, it is not possible to say if things have changed on the chair that cause it to pull more current out of the battery. Motor wear, gear and bearing/axel lubrication can affect the amperage that the chair needs to have. This can adversely affect the battery discharge rate.
Replace the batteries and charge before use then charge nightly for 20 days Use the chair daily so you can get a good charge nightly to get the batteries operating at 100% After the 20 days If you don't use the chair daily always store fully charged and then charge once a week overnight. Should work fine once you get the new batteries in You will need to get 2 U1 batteries for your chair do not get Wally World or automotive batteries You must replace with sealed deep cycle batteries made for power chairs Hope this helps
The green light won't come on until the batteries are fully charged now if after an overnight charge you still don't have a green light then I would replace the batteries. Hope this helps you
Ed After a year the batteries are shot and the charger cannot revive them Sorry but you're gonna have to spring for 2 new U1 batteries. Hope this helps you
you need to have the batteries tested it is possible that if left in a discharged state for an extended time that thee batteries may be damaged and will not be able to be recharged
sounds like blown fuse which is at rear of chair. may be underneath rear cover. this fuse wont keep the chair from working, however, it will keep the charging from working.
