Exhaust smells, lights on the dash are on, airplane sound in front end

Yesterday my car turned on the ABS, trac off and service vehicle soon lights at the same time. A few months ago, the front end started making an airplane noise. I chalked it up to a punctured exhaust pipe due to the construction at work. Also, I get a strong exhaust smell when I pull out of a parking spot in reverse. I don't want to drive my car in fear of something bad happening. I did some research and came up with the hub assembly for the noise and lights. Just asking to see what anyone else thought before I buy parts I may or may not need. I don't notice any change in the noise when I turn my wheel in any direction either. Thanks!!

Can you try the direct to outlet charger? If you dont have one can you try a different charger? If that does not work then that means that the unit might be defective. Contact Garmin at 1-800-800-1020

SOURCE: Since a few weeks ago, when turned on, "GARMIN"

GPS SYSTEMS HAVE A TENDENCY TO LOSE CONNECTIVITY TO SATILLITES BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER, CLOUD COVER, TUNNEL ENTRANCE, BAD OR NO POWER, BATTERY LIFE HAS BEEN EXPENDED, HAZARD OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE TO GPS SYSTEMS, AND IMPROPER VEHICLE MOUNTING AND HAND HELD POSITION. FREE SOLUTIONS 1. ALWAYS PLACE YOUR GPS DEVICE IN THE UPPERMOST PORTION OF YOUR VEHICLE SO THAT THE GPS SIGNAL MAY EASILY LOCATE YOUR DEVICE EVEN WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD 2. KEEP YOUR BATTERY CHARGED ONLY WHEN IT NEEDS IT MOST AND AVOID CHARGING OFTEN 3. IF YOU OVERCHARGE YOUR GPS DEVICE, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE BATTERY LEAKAGE, WHICH CAN EAT AWAY AT YOUR CLOTHING, DESTROY YOUR DEVICE IN SECONDS, AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE SEATS 4. YOUR GPS DEVICE HAS A TENDENCY TO FREEZE BECAUSE OF THE SIM AND MEMORY CHIPS LOCATED WITHIN IT 5. YOU CAN FIX THE FREEZING PROBLEM BY REMOVING THE SIM CHIP AND MEMORY CHIP AND RESTARTING YOUR SYSTEM 6. OTHER FREEZE PROBLEMS OCCUR BECAUSE THE DEVICE IS COLD WHEN IT IS KEPT IN THE VEHICLE AND CHIP CREEK OCCURS WHERE THE DEVICES MICROCHIPS BECOME LOOSE AND TIGHTEND BECAUSE OF WARM AND COLDER AIR FLUCTUATIONS. IT IS BEST TO KEEP THE DEVICE IN A PURSE OR ON A TABLE WHERE IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO CONSTANT TEMP. CHANGE 7. PREVENTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE IS BEST SOLVED BY: interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common

SOURCE: I just got my 1490LMT,

I have the 1490LMT also and all the maps I have found on this unit and others are usually a year behind or more with new road changes. That is why I bought a LMT unit, because I did not want to pay for outdated maps on my 265WT any longer. This is a problem with most Gps units sold. May be if more people write to Garmin and complain they may do something. I have attached a link to Garmin for you to let them know.

Abs light, trac off light, and vehicle service soon comes out

Guys i have a 2001 buick century. i ran into that problem figured for sure it was a wheel sensor but it wasn't if you can get a friend with a scanner to pin point which wheel it is then you're half way there. you said when you turn the wheel the light comes on well you know it one of the front wheels for sure, i was with my brother one of us was looking at the dash and the other was moving around the connector to let the other know when the light came on lots of posts spoke about the wires breaking at the point where they bend that wasn't the case. sure enough it was the wires going into the connector as you turn the wheel left and right the wire looses contact for a fraction of a second causing the abs light to come on. so check the connectors at each wheel under the cv joints.
hope this helped
good luck guys

Abs light, trac light, service engine soon light 2001 Pontiac Grand Am

Sounds like you have a bad wheel speed sensor. You need to have it scanned. Since it's been sitting, it might just be a bad connection to one of the speed sensors.

2003 Chevy Impala Service Traction Sytem show on Dash

I can't answer the question about the gas fumes, but I had the same problem last year with the "Service Traction Sysytem" message and the Trac and ABS lights coming on in my Impala. Mine turned out to be because of a bad wheel bearing, that was causing the ABS and traction system not to work. I'm not sure if you've experienced this, but another thing that would happen with mine was that I would go to brake and have a hard time depressing the brake pedal, almost like it was pushing back. That is the point when the Trac and ABS lights came on.

Service vehicle soon light is on, scanner at gm dealer read no codes. what all sensors activate this light. aso trac light is on. traction button(in stupid place) doesn't work

ok there is a difference between the check engine light and service vehicle soon light. The service vehicle soon light comes on when a bulb is out on the daytime running lights. Check your bulbs if there is one out and you put a new one in it will most likely take car of problem.

Abs light, trac light, service engine soon light

The problem is probably the wheel hub bearings and it is more that likely the front. I had the same problem a few weeks on my 00 grand am gt. Connected the car to the tester it gave me a code for left front wheel bearing. I replace both wheel bearings because i figured what the hell they both have the same amount of miles on them. Taaadaaa no more lights!!! Hope this solves your problem.
