Why can't I install app. after they are downloaded

What messages are you getting when trying to install? The app is not necessarily installed to the memory card automatically. Check your settings. How much internal storage space does it show? The app might be too big for the space you have left. You could try to free up some space by moving some installed apps to the SD card.

Internal storage and external storage on your sd card are two different things.

Save or move something to the SD card

Here are the steps to copy something from the internal memory to the SD card:
  1. Use the File Manager app, and select the internal memory (second icon from the left at the top of the screen).
  2. Select the file you want to copy, and keep your finger on it for several seconds until the 'File Operations' menu pops up.
  3. Select 'Copy File'. Near the top of the screen a small message will show in red, saying 'Holding [file name]".
  4. Select the SD card (third icon from the left at the top of the screen) and the folder where you want to save the file. Keep your finger on the folder name for a few seconds until the 'File Operations' menu pops up.
  5. Scroll down the 'File Operations' menu until 'Paste into Folder' appears, and tap it.
  6. You should see a success message.

You can move or copy things from the SD card to the internal memory also.

hi,

I had the same problem. Just format the memory FAT32 using Windows... that is not a joke!... just try it...the 32MB memory acts as an external (card) memory thus can be formated using Windows... obviously the info on the memory will be lost unless you have a backup file...

It coming full momery

I guess that you are referring to the internal memory and not the internal 32gb disk drive or a microSD card and that your model does have the 32gb internal disk drive, I don't know if all versions have the extra 32gb drive. If you don't have the 32gb internal drive than you should buy a microSD card.
If you haven't already updated the firmware, you should go to Nokia's site and download either the update or the Ovi Suite. The suite will allow you to back up your phone before you try to update your phone. After updating the firmware, run the update that moves some of the system files from the internal memory to the internal 32gb drive, I remember it having memory in the update name form when I ran it last year. Also move any files you have stored on the internal memory (pictures, videos, and music files for example) to the internal 32gb drive and using the settings options for text messages and the camera point the storage to the internal 32gb drive. This is where the suite comes in handy for moving the old text messages to the new location.

Do you have to use a vivitar memory card or another brand that is compadable, , and the easy guide shows a 2gb card but then it says up to 32gb needed for normal use, whats with that?

You don't say what make and model the camera is, so I'm just going to guess that it uses SD memory cards, as they are the most common. Any make of SD card will be suitable. Be careful not to buy cards above 2GB though, as they will actually be SDHC (high capacity) cards. These fit the same slots as SD cards, but not all cameras can work with them as they are slightly different electrically.

I am pretty sure that the guide meant to say that 32MB (megabytes) was the minimum for normal use, not 32GB (gigabytes- a thousand times bigger). No camera needs 32GB of memory, and memory cards that size have only become available recently.

We have a brand new camera with a brand new 32 gb memory card and when we try to use the camera we get the message "memory full".

The SDHC (32GB) card is not supported by that model. The IS-DV has 16MB internal memory and supports up to 1 GB SD card.

Return 32GB card ... very expensive...

Hope this helps!
