2005 gmc yukon fan relay location

In the under hood fuse / relay box ! There are three of them COOLFAN/relay 1-2-3 . It's marked on the under side of fuse box lid .
The engine cooling fan system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a series/parallel configuration that allows the powertrain control module (PCM) to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The cooling fans and fan relays receive battery positive voltage from the underhood fuse block.

My cooling fan will not turn on. What could this be? I had someone tell me the water pump, but it does not leak.

Step 1:

This cooling fan circuit has 2 cooling fans and 2 cooling fan relays, both cooling fan relays are located in the BJB (battery junction box, underhood fuse box) there is a low speed or main cooling fan relay in cavity location # K-46 and the high speed relay is location # K-47! Also check the main cooling fan power fuse # 2 in the same BJB, The fuse is a MAXI-FUSE (large one) it is blue in color and is rated at 60amps!

Step 2:

Also check the coolent tempature sensor thats what signals the fan to turn on.

Step 3:

Do the fans turn on when you turn the a/c on. if not may have bad fan motor

Which relay is for the fans on 2001 ford Taurus

There are 2 relays for the cooling fans. They are located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see picture below of location). there is a low speed fan relay located in the number 24 position and a high speed fan relay located in the number 32 position (see layout picture below). If your fans are not working at all you may also want to look at the "maxi" fuse in the number 9 position as that gives power to those relays. i hope this helps and good luck.

Hello

Using a stool positioned directly beneath the inoperative fan, grasp 2 opposite sides of the plastic fan cover and pull cover down 2 to 3 inches until wire holding clasps on each side are exposed.

Squeeze the 2 wires on each clasp together until the fan cover is released and set aside fan cover.

Locate fan electrical plug and unplug the connection from the electrical outlet.

Locate the screw securing the fan unit to the ceiling. This is often found directly adjacent the electrical outlet. Some fan models will have 2 securing screws. These will be located on opposite sides of the fan base.

Use flat-head screwdriver to remove securing screw, pull fan out of the fan well and set old fan aside.

Align replacement fan in position to allow electrical plug to be inserted in electrical socket and plug into electrical outlet.

Insert fan into ceiling well and secure by inserting and tightening securing screw(s).

Test fan by turning on wall switch. If fan fails to operate, check to be certain that the plug is fully inserted into the electrical outlet. If fan still does not operate, check circuit breaker and reset if necessary.

Replace fan cover by holding cover in place with 2 wire clasps just below the slots in the fan base. Squeeze the 2 wire ends of each clasp together and insert these into the the slots on opposite sides of the fan base. Once properly inserted, the ends of the wire claps will spring into place.

Push the fan cover up allowing the wire clasps to be fully inserted into the slots on the fan base, at which point the clasps will spring open securing the cover in place.
