The metronome on my P90 won't switch off. Is there a way I can fix this easily?

The P90 uses a rubber membrane switch to turn the metronome on/off it maybe that this has failed. Inside the rubber is a carbon contact that bridges over the PCB. If this gets dusty or worn out then it will not operate. This could be the cause, dismantle and clean and try again.

If not then it is with the electrical circuitry which would be harder to diagnose.

Light Show!!

You have obviously got water ingress where you shouldn't when cleaning the engine. It's always advisable to have the engine running and at operating temperature whenever using water to clean under the hood. Anyway, the water is there so what do you do? Carefully clean every electrical connection under the hood with a dry cotton cloth. WD40 can be used and will do the job more easily but naturally will leave an oily residue, depends on how clean you want your motor. Persistence and tenacity are the key features plus plenty of patience to overcome the water problem - and here's hoping you don't do it again!

CDS slipping when playing.

Try the disc in another CD / DVD player.

It is important to make sure that the DVD itself is the problem, and not the CD / DVD player.

Cleaning a CD / DVD player is a much more intricate process that requires device-cleaning hardware.

Lay the disc artwork-side down so that you can easily clean the playing side.

You should always avoid setting a disc playing-side down to prolong its lifespan.

Gently rub the disc with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove all traces of dust and fingerprints. Always rub a disc from the center toward the outer rim in a light motion to prevent any other damage.

Apply a light amount of toothpaste to a cotton wool ball and gently rub the disc from the inside out.

You may need a few drops of water to make the toothpaste spread easily.

Cover the entire surface area of the disc, or at least the area that is scratched.

Toothpaste is a gentle abrasive that works well for fixing simple scratches.

Clean off the toothpaste with the cloth, once again rubbing from the inside of the disc toward the rim.

Try not to push too hard to prevent further damage.

Apply other kinds of light abrasives such as baking soda or glass cleaner if the sound is still distorted.

Remove the solution with the same gentle rubbing technique.

Purchase a disc-cleaning spray from a local video or electronics store.

These sprays are effective in removing any grime from the disc and filling small scratches.

hope this helps

The game disc could not be read please read the wii operations manual for more information

Try using the Wii Lens Cleaning Kit, available online at Nintendo's online store. If that fails, try cleaning the game discs themselves.
If that doesn't work then the disk drive will have to be repaired.

Satellite A75-s1253 will turn off when the windows logo shows and startup again. This loop is on going no matter how it starts safe mode , last know configuration, all those options do the same.

This means that the startup files needed to boot up are already corrupted or missing. If no important files are on the computer then you can easily reinstall the operating system by doing a clean install/format. If there are lots of files you can either do a parallel/dirty installation( installing an operating system on top of the corrupted one) so that you can still back-up your files.
If you want to know what cause the error, you can hit F8 key(5 times) as soon as the computer turns on, and you'll be routed to the advanced boot option, choose "Disable Automatic Restart". So that once it encountered an error it will be displayed on the screen.

External link: http://www.theeldergeek.com/ shows graphical step by step guide on how you can reinstall the windows operating system on your own.

Want to replace motor brushes...any tips on this

I need to also, so please post what you learn. I found several examples for other WMs on YouTube (search brushes carbon washing machine) Note, I was able to get my Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 spin working again with the following quick carbon dust cleaning trick:
1) Unplug WM and tip up to a 45 degree angle and then safely stabilize so you can safely access motor from bottom. No need to take off back or disconnect motor.
2) Using a small tool like a 1/4 allen wrench or medium screwdriver start tapping repeatedly (for 2 mins) on the brush holders, and back metal clips that connect to the brushes, your just moving the dust around really.
3) Next using an alcohol damp cloth clean the motor commutator - on this motor it is easily exposed on one of the sides 90 degrees away from, and in line with brush holders. Hold cloth on commutator and turn motor, this will also make it clear if commutator is damaged. You cloth should be pretty dirt after 2-3 rotations.
Repeat 2 and 3 above a few more times cleaning up all the carbon dust off the commutator and around the brushes.
After that tip down and test again. A more thorough cleaning could be done by removing brushes and cleaning em - but this will buy you a few weeks/months of operation.

SL 500 Soft Top Up/Down Problem

There are sensors that check for angle and such in the suspension, if they go bad reseting them like you are you may want to clean and check them. There should be 1 on each wheel and at least 1 pin switch in the trunk. Also clean ground wires near them. I would suggest going over your owners manual for operation as it has troubleshooting in the book.

Belt smells burnt

If the belt has melted then there's something obstructing between the brush, belt and dust channel. Check that the endof the brush roll is completely clean, check that the brush roll rolls easily with your hand (obviously don't plug it in or switch it on when repairing/inspecting) If you can locate the motor shaft pin make sure that it rolls easily - if not then the motor may have seized up which will need professional repair. Also check that the filters are clean and the hoses are clear.
