How does a diy'er obtain the software needed to make repairs?

Hi well that's a shame :( When a unit will not "Boot Up" as you put it, usually there is little anyone outside of a repairer can do? Usually it is either a software problem or a hardware problem. If a software problem then the ONLY thing that can be done is to try to "Re-flash" the Operating System back into the unit in the hope that it will overwrite the old bad software and fix the unit. If however it is a hardware problem, really a complete and expensive total motherboard replacement would be required.
If you can and wish to DIY, then search the net for How to re-flash the phone, obtain the required software and using that special software and a USB cable, you may then be able to re-flash the unit back to "As New". IF however it is though that it is a hardware problem, then DIY isn't really an option, unless one can obtain motherboards etc, and all the spares and a service manual. Otherwise the best approach is to contact a Nokia phone repair center and take it there and ONLY first ask for "Quote" as to prospective costings and go from there.

Very common issue on this unit. The lid switch assembly is broken and need to be replaced. The repair is straight forward a DIY'er can make this repair friend

Needs repair either a output ic or a diode near one of the outputs most often takes care of it. Not a job for a diy-er.

didnt give to much info to work with but most common-- fuel filter---but others are need tune up---egr needs service /cleaning---pcv cleaning or replacement--fuel pump---throttle body/carb need rebuild/ service---cat conv clogging-bad gas these are ur most common a haynes or chilton repair manual usually on sale for about 10--12 bucks can help a great deal they have trouble shooting with a break down to narrow down problem than shows how to repair problem for the diy - er good luck

With this model, it is usually the belt, has either broken or come off, the drive pulley.
It is a difficult job to do, but it could be done DIY. You will need to obtain a service manual, and the belt to do so. (You would need to obtain a service manual first, to be able to obtain the part number for the parts required, as this is the only place this info exists)
If you do not wish to DIY, then please contact a Bosch service center, and ask for a "Quote" for the repair. When the serviceman calls.

hi from uk to renew front disc(rotors) and brake pads on the accent are not beyond the mech minded diy er and can easilly be done if you follow instructions on the haynes manual etc and would save$$$$s in dealer charges ? if you diy as for the rear brakes they are drum brakes with shoes that are auto adjust but again can be done by diy with help of manual ? as for cost of parts ? you can obtain/price of all parts from good auto shop/superstore also a manual ? then by all means obtain a quote ? for local garage to do the brakes with cost of labour and parts ? then consider option of diy? i am sure you will be tempted/inspired if you browse the work involved hope this helps? contact again if you feel lucky? will be glad to assist if you get stuck? or req info ? merry xmas from uk
