While trying to set the timer and clock the machine went to E3, beeped and will not let me proceed. This is a new coffee pot.
Mine does this when it’s overfilled with water.

I wish I had waited but I finished tearing the pot up and canned it. Next time I will know because I have ordered a new one.

After turning the coffee maker on press and hold down the timer button until flashing; then press the hour and minute buttons to set the clock.

To set the clock, hold the hour or minute button until the display flashes then adjust the time.

Make sure the lid is on the caraffe, or else it will not make the proper contact with the filter basket (and hence the filter basket will be forced into the closed position).
