When a message states that way it just means that you entered either the username or the password incorrectly. If you tried it several times and still didn't work.Try to click the link in the yahoo sign in page that says forget password. Then it will bring you to another screen that requires you to enter the security question and answer you chose when signing up your yahoo mail..If you can't remember those ,you need to sign up another one and don't forget to remember the information you entered when signing up your yahoo mail..Hope this helps.
if it is a profile password by name like Kumar, rakesh etc., then keep on pressing the ctr+alt+del key, in the place of user name type administrator, then press enter. it will log in. Then right click on my computer, manage, local users & groups, select user on the right tab, again right click on the user where the password is lost, then select set password, don't type anything, simply press enter. then log off administrator, login with the same old user it will not ask any password.
Everyone says to do a hard reset, DONT. All you need to do is put your Google email in the user name box then put the word "null" in the password box. Once that is done it will ask you to to make a new pattern and then everything is back up and running. I went right in turned off the pattern lock, I never want to see it again. Also it might take a few trys to put the user name and password in. The second try worked for me.
Go to Control Panel, select Add or remove user account, select The User Name with the Password, under Administrator or Guest acccounts. You can change the User Name and Password. I hope thise Fix it.
Okay the thing here is you need to master reset it. Here's how it works:
Power off the G1
Hold Home Key + End key for 20 seconds or until you see a "triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1"
Open the QWERTY keyboard and hit Alt+W
Restored!
To do a soft reboot, simply hit the Home+Back buttons when you reach
the "triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1" screen.
This will reset your phone as if it were brand new and your correct user name and password combination will work. (This is coming from a direct T-Mobile employee) -Joe
Right now the G1 is having issues logging into the phone after you get locked out using a screen pattern. Just try to remember to write down the username and password you used the first time that way you won't lose the information on your phone by having to reset it. Also make sure you are typing it carefully and make sure to enter your whole gmail address too (Ex. [email protected]). Also if you have had to change your password from a computer after you logged into your G1, it does not take the password change. A way to avoid that is to login to the G1 again. Sync your contacts to gmail first (Settings > Data Synchronization > Menu > Sync Now). Then go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Apps > Clear Data. To sign in again go to Settings > Data Synchronization and it will give you the option to create an account or sign in.
