If the thread is feeding through the bobbin too fast (is the bobbin thread showing on the top of the fabric when you stitch?), then the bobbin tension needs to be tightened. Make sure your upper tension is set at the midpoint (this is the standard factory setting).

Now, using a permanent marker, mark the bobbin case next to the screw groove (so you'll know where the original setting was and you can return it to that position if the adjustment fails). Use a small screwdriver and turn the screw 1/8 turn clockwise (tightens). (Make only 1/8 turns because a minor change will result in a big adjustment.) Retest your stitching. If the bobbin thread is still too loose, make another 1/8 adjustment until the two threads, upper thread and bobbin thread, meet in the middle of the fabric.

***Adjust the top thread. It must be fed through the tension properly. It is best to feed the thread with the pressure foot up. While threading the machine give small tugs to check for stuck areas. Fix these even if you have to replace the thread.
***Don't thread needle yet. Now, Set the pressure foot down. Give small tugs. There should be some tugs. Adjust the tension up and down while doing this to make sure the tension is functioning.
***Thread the needle and set the tension to four. Adjust if necessary as you sew.
That is your problem. However, I've placed a guide how to set the tension of the bobbin.

I have a janome memory craft 350E, when I embroider it is pulling the bobbin thread through to the right side, I have changed the tension but it is still doing it. Can you help please

I suspect the bobbin thread has escaped its tension spring. If you give the bobbin thread a quick short tug and the bobbin spool spins then likely the thread is not behind the tension spring. This usually causes hook jam but not always.

First be sure you have threaded per machine instructions... see below.

Next turn handwheel and position needle at the high point of stroke (always when loading bobbin). Remove and re-insert bobbin. Now, to be sure the bobbin thread is fully positioned behind the tension spring, before you move the bobbin thread into the notch, place your right index finger on top of the bobbin spool to prevent the bobbin spool from turning. Hold thread snugly (in slight tension) as you move it towards the back of the notch. You should feel the thread slide in place behind the spring. Let loose the spool and lightly pull thread. Note the resulting change in tension. (don't forget to set top thread tension back to a more normal setting)

Comment here if you require further assistance.

Thread jammed in the bobbin area and unable to move the needle

Switch off machine. Snip as much thread away as possible, take tweezers and pull out all loose thread; remove bobbin case if possible; remove needle plate and work from the top; turn crank wheel by hand gently to move needle up and down. It should shift in time if you work carefully to remove all jammed threads.

Trying to wind the bobbin on my Pfaff hobby 1132. The thread keeps coming off the bobbin thread guide. The bobbin winds, but the thread is loose and uneven. I've pushed the bobbin holder to the right and...

Check to make sure the thread path from the spool to the bobbin is correct. The thread should make a loop around a little post that is actually a tensioner that helps the thread wind smoothly onto the bobbin. If something is wrong with that tensioner or the thread is not following the correct thread path, it could cause the thread to not wind smoothly. It appears that your machine has two locations where the spool can be placed to wind the bobbin. You might try using the other option, if one doesn't seem to be working.

Also, you might try slowing the machine down during the thread winding process. It it goes too fast the spool begins bouncing and pulls the thread akilter. Also, some threads will stretch if the winding is too fast causing the thread to "shrink" when sewing your garment and creating puckers.

FWIW, I found that a "SideWinder" stand-alone bobbin winder is a handy gadget. It is available for ~$30 from JoAnn's Fabrics, Amazon, etc and is battery or electric compatible. It saves wear and tear on a machine and can wind multiple bobbins one right after another. Just be sure to verify that your bobbins will work on the SideWinder as some Singer bobbins will not.

Machine will not sew, the thread is tangled and matted up on cloth side next to machine. I have re threaded, replaced bobbin. Still jams up.

Hello,
I believe that the bobbin adjustment screw is loose, you need to hold the thread and see how fast it comes out of the bobbin, then tighten the screw until it just barely comes out. You may need to adjust a few times to get it right. If the bobbin screw is too loose, the thread feeds too fast and will jam up as you indicate.

Hope this is of some help

Bobbin tension is far to loose I tried adjusting the screw but no luck

Are you sure that it is not in your top threading instead of your bobbin? Try this test, totally rethread your machine with a fresh needle inserted (flat side facing away from you). Make sure that your presser foot is up (when threading and the first part of this test) , now pull on the top thread, it should move smoothly, then put the presser foot down, now pull the thread, it should barely move. This usually seats the thread in the discs.
You will find that bunching up of thread underneath is usually the opposite of what you thing, ie. top threading. Top thread issues are the bobbin causing the problem. Good luck

My machine will sew fine for a few minutes and then the tension will go loose and the bobbin thread will leave long threads for a while and then the threads knots up in a big bunch. It doesn't matter how...

It could be your top threading, your thread tangled, or your thread is old. Try different thread and do this test, with the presser foot up, pull the top thread, it should move smoothly, now put the presser foot down, pull the thread and it should barely move. This usually seats the thread in the tension discs. If, that doesn't do it, insert a new needle.

Bobbin stuck on winder

Sounds like you need to remove some thread off the bobbin to get the pressure off. Sometimes if you wind too fast or you have a poor quality thread, the thread will stretch as it winds and causes to bobbin to compress onto the winder shaft.
Good Luck!

Bobbin tangling

Sounds like the bobbin is spinning to fast or is winded to loose. Try adjusting the tension on the bobbin.

Husqvarna viking, interlude 435...unable to solve tension problem

Sounds like the tension unit is at fault. First check the bobbin tension by removing the bobbin case. Use a half-full to 3/4 full bobbin. Be sure it is threaded through the bobbin case with thread hanging straight down with tension spring on top. Tie the stitch plate to the end of the thread. If the thread pulls the bobbin out, the bobbin tension is too loose. If it does not move when "jiggling" the bobbin, it is too tight (which is not likely based on your description). Small screw (through an open hole) on the side of the bobbin case adjusts the tension of the bobbin case. Left for loose and Right for tighter. Otherwise, contact local authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for their assistance. You can find the closest dealer at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us Good luck.
