Based on your description, it sounds like your Blaupunkt 32-inch flatscreen TV may have a damaged screen. The ink-like appearance and brief flicker followed by a dark screen are indicative of a physical crack or damage to the screen.
It is possible that the TV was able to function normally after the fall, but over time the damage to the screen worsened and is now causing the issues you are experiencing. Unfortunately, this type of damage is typically not repairable and would require a replacement of the entire screen, which can be costly.
If the TV is still under warranty, you may be able to get it repaired or replaced through the manufacturer. Otherwise, you may need to consider purchasing a new TV if the cost of repairing the screen is prohibitive
HDMI is a data protocol and includes the associated ports and cables it is not a channel. If Your TV Does not have an HDMI port you can use a converter to change it To a connection your TV Does support. Be aware a cable with the appropriate ends is not the same as a converter...a converter changes the language to something the tv can understand.
Hi mona_77a,
You can find the manual for your TV here.
Your Thomson TV is compatible with a VESA FDMI (Flat Display Mounting Interface.)
These typically use "VESA screws."
VESA screws tend to be metric sizes of M4 (0.7mm pitch). The length is typically 10mm, but would depend on the bracket (if you don't have a gauge handy, just put a small stick of some sort in there and mark it off with a felt pen, then measure).
Washers are a really good idea, especially if you decide on thumbscrews with plastic heads.
You may be interested in eHow's tutorial on how to mount a flatscreen TV to a wall. This is for a 42 inch screen, but the same rules should apply with a 32 inch.
First you get the wall hanger. Screw one part to the wall. And then screw the other part to the TV. then you hang the TV on the part screwed to the wall. Hope this solution has been helpful?
First test the wall outlet, try plugging a lamp into the same outlet see if it works. If the outlet works then read the following below. If the wall outlet doesn't work then plug the TV into another outlet.
If its not the wall outlet:
Unfortunately the power supply has a problem sustaining DC output. This can be caused from several fault scenarios. Get someone who is technically savvy and I will show them via e-mail what to test to fix this problem for you. Or you can take it to your local repair center.
Wendy,
When attaching your wall mount to the brick you should use a metal lag shield designed for masonry. These can be found at the local hardware store but i would carry the mounting bracket with you so that you can ensure that you get the appropriate size of fastener that will pass through the bracket. As far as the heat goes, it really depends on the amount of heat the system will be subject to. Some fireplaces are more for decoration and produce very little heat above the mantle area. Others that have blowers on them or are left with the doors open genrate considerable heat.
I would not advise the mounting of the tv above the fireplace in my professional opinion. The cooler you can keep electronics - to a point- will greatly increase the service life of the appliance.I hope this is of assistance to you and thanks for using Fix Ya. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I moved and the manual and remote got lost. I bought a ONE FOR ALL remote that has the iLO printed on the add but I can't get the tv to work, I tried all the codes but nothing worked. How can I get a manual from the computer to work this iLO tv, which I am unable to use. Maybe I should have purchased a Sony.
