Look at the bulb filament! If broken it is blown, should be attached at both ends. Also an electrical circuit tester can test for a continuous circuit, if not continuous then blown bulb!

My 1993 Buick Regal has a problem with the right rear brake and turn signal not working part of the time, when it works the right dash light indicator works but doesn’t work when the light doesn’t work

What about the front right turn signal, does it work when the rear doesn't? My guess is, it doesn't work either? The lower brake lites and turn signals may use the same bulb filament, but, not at the same time and are wired through the turn signal switch. Have you tried a new bulb, Is the bulb socket ok? You may need to check turn signal switch and wiring. If there is an air-bag in your steering wheel, you need to be careful, you don't want it to blow up in your face. Safety is your responsibility.

You may have blown a fuse, check fuses first then before you try to replace the bulb again check for broken wires or the correct bulb

Headlight doesn't work

Try checking the fusebox under the engine compartment. You should find fuses for both lights in there. also check your light relays also in the same compartment. You might have a bad relay.

Mazda cx7. both high beams work and one low beam works. how can i tell if its a headlight or some other problem

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. These new lights have two types lin one bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. Find the bulb that isn't lighting for the low beam and replace it with a new bulb. If it doesn't work, you need to check the wiring to that specific light. Since it is only one, the new bulb should work.

One backup light works and one doesn't on a 88 chevy 1500. New bulbs and bulb holder.

Connect a Test Light between the ground wire on the light socket (bulb holder) and somewhere on the body (a clean/bare metal surface) and then put the transmission in reverse.
If the Test Light lights up, you have a bad ground (broken wire, bad/corroded connection). If it doesn't then use a Multimeter to check for power on the Positive side of the Socket, No or Low voltage means a bad wire. Battery voltage is generally 12.45 (without the engine running) and 14.5 (with the engine running) So if you're getting less than that (by more than .3) you have a poor connection or damaged wire

2003 Highlander passenger headlight works off and on. Seems to be connected to the temperature on the rear view mirror. When the light doesn't work, the temp is a crazy number. Are they connected? ...

Try the bulb itself. You can check it with a voltmeter set to continuity. Check the harness for a poor ground connection near the bulb socket. It will be a black wire under a screw head on the chassis. If nothing out of the ordinary is found, replace the headlight relay for that side. Each headlight has its own relay.

Left tail light only blinks with main light switch turned off. With main light switch on it doesn't work but front left turn signal works in both instances but fast with main switch on.

change the flasher unit, located behind the fuse panel on the drivers side foot kick panel , then check the bulb of the bad light, with a Meter,, you could have a bulb filament flopping around and it looks to be good , also check that the base of the bulb is clean and has good grounding
