You have the CE-100 listed, but your question is regarding an XL-1000, so I'm not sure which you're referring to. Regardless, you can download the user's manual free from the Singer Sewing Machine website; if it's the XL-1000, you can also download the workbook free as well.
It's set on the panel for that model, as well as the XL-5000 and XL-6000. You can download the user's manual free from the Singer site; I recommend that you do that, or if you have one, take a look at it.
