R134a gas is r134a gas and it is used in a variety of applications
because it is a extreme high pressure gas , it is unlikely that you will get a small can of it
It will be cheaper to have a fridge technician come and use the right amount as it normally comes in a 9 kg bottle and cost plenty
a fridge may use 100 grms if lucky

What refrigerant should be used for a 2004 Mazda Tribute

You want to read this slowly... and all the way through...

Most likely R134a...

but there is a reason the vehicles are REQUIRED to post the refrigerant under the hood...

Because mixing REFRIGERANTS can be a very costly mistake.

Look for the refrigerant type under the hood...!!

It might be different.

Can 134a refrigerant be put into a R12 a/c system?

no --it cannot. R12 gas operates at a far lower pressure that r134a so if you want to use r134a gas you will have to replace compressor ,evaporator and condenser and have a cooling fan for the condenser fitted

How much R134a should I add to 2000 toyota? My a/c wont charge

Not sure I understand. R134a is the refrigerant. So what else are you adding? The best solution is to find the leak and repair it. Leaks will continually become worse. Your system may not hold anything anymore. However having to much refrigerant will overcharge the system and not allow it to cool. All systems hold different amounts, there should be a sticker under the hood that tells you how many pounds the system holds.

The AC is not working now, just blows hot air. When it stopped working there was a different smell coming out. How do I fix it?

Well, if the a/c doesn't work, the smell will be different, because the evaporator (cold) isn't taking the water out of the air. It will smell as if you had just a vent and might smell a little bit mildewy.

Check the charge of r134a in the system, or just go ahead and attempt to charge it with a can of r134a refrigerant and a hose with an a/c quick connector attached available from your local auto parts store or even Walmart.

Follow the instructions and you might be able to have cold air coming out of the vents in a few minutes.

Hopefully, you do not have a fast leak that will let the r134a escape to the atmosphere.

Otherwise, it may be an electrical fuse blown somewhere.

Good luck to you.

Refrigerant gas used in Kenmore freezer

Hi: You didn't give me the complete model number. Not to worry though. Look at the model number tag of the freezer. If it's a newer model it will use R134A coolant. The tag will tell you the amount of refrigerant and the type. I hope this helps, Jeff.
