The self cleaning on my 2012 Frigidaire Gallery oven has fried the control board twice now. Is this a common issue with this appliance?

We paid to have the board replaced a year ago when I tried to use the self clean. I tried to use it again, and it fried the board again. I don't think it is insulated properly. Please let me know if there is a recall or if I got the lemon.

How do i unlock door on frigidaire stove

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

You can perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes. If your control panel has a cancel button hold that down and that should release the door. If those steps do not correct the issue please comment back and I will be happy to assist you further. -Matt

Wall oven needs a reset- wont heat

Hello John, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

I understand your wall-oven is no longer heating. The wall-oven has a safety thermal to prevent the oven from overheating. If the unit will not bake or broil, more than likely the safety thermal has tripped. Other possibilities are incorrect power supply or faulty main control board. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Gas Range, electricity randomly turns off and on.

Good Morning Jason, thank you for your post!

First, I suggest plugging another appliance in the same circuit/plug to confirm that the issue does not lie with your household circuit. If your circuit breaker is working properly and the issue continues, then it sounds like your range may possibly have a faulty power supply within the unit, a communication issue with the EOC (electronic oven control), or a potential wiring failure. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Best regards!

If tripping and turning the circuit breaker off for about 10 minutes does not work, contact Frigidaire. Sounds like the control board and/or door switch will need replacing.

Double oven keeps turning off randomly. Entire control panael goes blank. A few minutes later it will reset

Control panel/computer mother board is bad, needs replace. You can order almost any appliance part online or threw Sears. Write down the model number and type of oven and go from there. They carry countless brands of appliance parts. You'll be amazed at what you'll find at Sears. They'll have it or either have to order it for you. Trace your steps when removing the face panel and follow your wire connections. Relatively quick job. 30-60 min job. Lowes, carries appliance parts you can order as well.

The self cleaning instructions for my Frigidaire Gallery Pro Series Model FEB798WCCH do not inform how long to set timer. Any instructions would be helpful as I've never operated a self cleaning oven...

Hello- The function is automatic when clean button is pushed. Oven will lock, and turn on at full power for about 90 mins. This 'feature' can, and usually does eventually burn out circuits in the control board. Techs call this the 'self-destruct' option, cheerfully promoted by the salesman. Avoid using 'self clean'!  Scrape and clean with light soap/water. Turn on to 450deg. for about 30 min. This is about half the temp. of a 900deg. 'clean' cycle and a lot less expensive in the long run. Please acknowledge this post if info is helpful- have more if needed.- Thanks- Ed
