Hello. From what you're describing, it sounds like the user interface board(fancy name for control panel) is defective. The part number for it is W10215814 and is #9 on the Pic 1 exploded parts diagram. The sequential pics show the procedure for entering diagnostic mode, interpreting error codes, clearing codes, and testing different parts of the dryer. I hope I helped you!

SOURCE: Amana electric dryer model LEA30Aw will not heat

The heating element measures 10 Ohms at 68 degrees farenheit. Usually if the element is bad, it will measure infinity.

SOURCE: My dryer wont heat up...It just blows cold air....?????

It may be the thermal fuse but it could also be the heating element. The way to check is to open it up as described above and run the dryer. Watch the element and if it turns on then off again immediately then it is your thermal fuse. That is only about 15 dollars to fix and you can get a new fuse at any appliance repair shop. If the element doesn't ever come on then the element is burnt out and needs to be replaced. This is a little more expensive. I hope this was helpful and if you have any more questions feel free to ask me. Good luck.

Why is my Amanda 7300 tandem washing machine not doing the wash cycle? It stops after water has filled and stats to beep 3 times in intervals....

Sometimes this can happen when the power button does not return completely when pressed in. My cheap & cheerful solution was to use a bit of Blu-Tak on the button, so I could pull it all the way out.

How to fix Maytag dryer MED9600SQ0

Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum 9 this is why in some cases the dryer will operate at lower cycles like gentle or low heat but not at higher settings?)

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

My Amana Tandem 7300 electric dryer will not stay

DRYER OVERHEATING:

Heating Element
A defective heating element can make a dryer too hot. If the element partially shorts out, it can produce heat all the time, regardless of whether the dryer is calling for heat. Remove the heating element to inspect it. The coils should not be touching each other or anything else.

Other Causes and Conditions
Air Flow Problem
Dryers need good ventilation to work properly. If the vent is clogged it can make the dryer too hot. Clean all of the vent tubing thoroughly.

Cycling Thermostat
Although not common, a defective cycling thermostat can make the dryer too hot. The cycling thermostat is supposed to turn on and off the heat to maintain the proper temperature. If the thermostat is defective it may keep the heat on too long. The thermostat is not adjustable or repairable, it must be replaced.

Felt Seal
Most dryers have a felt seal at the front and rear of the drum to keep the heat inside the drum. If the felt seal is worn away or missing, the dryer may keep heating and make the dryer too hot. This is not common.

Blower Wheel
A defective blower wheel will not spin properly and will not vent the hot air, making the dryer too hot. Check to see if there is adequate airflow out of the dryer.

Amana model LGA30AW automatic setting doesn't shut the dryer off

You can make adjustments to your Automatic Cycles by adjusting the Factory Dryness Level:
Changing the Automatic Cycle settings to increase or decrease drying time:
If all your loads on all Automatic Cycles are consistently less dry or more dry than you would like, you may change the default settings to increase or decrease the default dryness
level.

Your automatic drying settings can be adjusted to adapt to different installations, environmental conditions, or personal preference. This change is retained and will affect all of your
Automatic Cycles, not just the current cycle/load. There are 5 drying settings, which are displayed using the time display:
0 Much wetter clothes, 30% less drying time.
1 Slightly wetter clothes, 15% less drying time.
2 Factory preset dryness level.
3 Slightly drier clothes, 15% more drying time.
4 Much drier clothes, 30% more drying time.
TO CHANGE THE DRYING SETTINGS: NOTE: The settings cannot be changed while the dryer is running or paused. The dryer must be in standby mode (power is off) to adjust the default settings.
  1. Before starting a cycle, touch and hold DRYNESS for 6 seconds.
  2. Touch DRYNESS to select the dryness level shown in the time display: 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
  3. Touch START/PAUSE to save the new dryness level setting.
