My touch screen is unresponsive [LG glimmer]

I was texting and sent a text and then all of i sudden the screen stopped working. The menu buttons at the bottom wont work and neither will the gray arrow thing about it.. But i can move the clock on the left side of the screen but it wont go past the mid line of the screen. My key pad works and i can send calls that way and when i bring up past calls i can scroll and click on their names. I can also read texts but i cant respond to them.

My touch screen does not work. when i press something it either does not respond or presses something else n sometimes holds wat it presses. the buttons below the touch screen(send, clear, and end) still...

you can try a hard reset by remove the battery and all power waiting for a half hour to make sure the capacitors are fully drained and then restarting this might reset the touch calibration. it also may be that you have a damaged or loose ZIF connection in the phone that needs repair or te touch screen portion itself needs replacement.

White screen

This issue only occurs when trying to send a SMS text message from within the call details screen of a call in the call log.
To avoid this issue, complete the following steps to send a SMS text message from the call log screen:
  1. Open the Phone application.
  2. Open the Call Log by clicking the middle button in the toolbar.
  3. Touch the call log/contact in the list without clicking the screen.
  4. Display the menu, then select SMS Text (Name/Number).
  5. If required, rotate the BlackBerry smartphone to switch to landscape mode.

LG Vue touch screen doesn't work anymore

I had this problem last week. Though I have had mine for over a year. It is not a fixable problem. I hope you included insurance with your phone purchase because I was told it most definitely needed to be replaced. I got my new one, they sent it overnight delivery.

It was so frustrating not being able to see my texts and dial a phone number that was not in my call logs.

Touchscreen not working buttons working

turning it off doesn't do much if you don't pull out the battery. Turn it off, pull the battery and let it stay out for 45seconds - a minute. then try again. be patient and don't tap the screen until it prompts you.

How to text

to text:
1. at the "home" screen, click the button to the left of the analoge stick, this should click on menu taking you to a screen with 9 icons.
2. click the icon on the top row in the middle called "messaging"
3. Select option one "new message"
4. Type whatever the message is using the numbered buttons 0-9.
5. Once finished, select the option "send to", and input the name or number you want to send it too.
6. To make sure it sent, go back to the options screen with "new message" but scroll down to the "sent" box, if the message sent than it would be in there, if not, your message will be in the outbox and it means you have a bad signal. If its in the "outbox" than hit resend and wait to see if it sends.
7. that's the basics of just sending "text" but "pictures" are different,
8. ENJOY!

Texting on the LG Vantage/Glimmer via T9 on the keypad is so slow! How can I make it faster?

I had this problem too, it was so frustrating!! But now it works and texts fast!
What you do is go into your text entry settings, and where it says "Word Choice List", turn that off. That will make it text fast but you will no longer have the drop down list of word choices. The list is good to have and convenient but I would rather have it text fast instead! Now, to choose a new word while texting you push the 0 button on the keypad or the next button on the touch screen.
