1-on the left side is a switch above the volume control-if" the orange is visible it is set to "SILENT"
2- going to settings-general-accessibillity-scroll to assistive touch and turn it on.
Then you have a white circle on black square icon -tap- tap on device- tap on Mute/Unmute- Try and see if that solved the ringer problem. If it has, go back and turn assistive touch off- that might also solve the problem.
Option 1 is the most likely cause for not ringing I discovered, but option 2 might reveal the hidden muted sound issue as well.
Hope this helps
Checking emails has become a part of daily chores. Many a times we don't get email or useful/needed email. Better be informed through email alerts on mobile for all the email-ids you own. In simple set auto-forward option to 'yes' for all your email-ids to the one email-id, where you can get email alerts on mobile free of cost. Probably in settings/options/account you can activate the email-alerts on mobile. Start receiving email-alerts now.
First, make sure that your speakers aren't muted and that you can here the sounds. Next, what email program are you using? If you are using a browser-based email package (Gmail, Yahoo), then you need a program that checks for email and then provides the notification. For Gmail, there is the Gmail notifier ( http://www.gmailnotifier.com/ ).
If you are using a program like Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird to download your mail (either IMAP or POP3). Set the option for sounding an alert. In Thunderbird, click on Tools > Options . Then in the General tab, make sure to put a check in the box on the "Play a Sound" line. For Windows Live Mail (2011 version), press Alt+F and then O. (File menu and then Options) . In the General tab, check the box that says "Play sound when new messages arrive".
I hope this helps. Please add a comment with your mail program/type for more information.
Hi rasec ramos0...
Look at the bottom right side of your monitor with it turned on.
Look for a speaker icon...
Left click on the speaker icon and make sure that the mute box is not checked for the volume, if it is uncheck it.
Then right click the speaker icon, and it will give you two choices to make.
Check out both options and make sure NONE of the boxes are checked "Mute", if they are then uncheck them.
If that doesn't solve your problem then go to the Manufacturer's website and download the audio drivers for your computer, it seems that they may be corrupted.
Please take time to rate me
In the "Alert me when" box click "I receive email in Yahoo! Mail"
Uncheck
the boxes next to "Displaying a dialog box", "Showing an icon in the
system tray" and "Showing a message in the bottom right corner of my
screen". If you prefer not hear the pow alert as well uncheck "Playing a
sound..."
Click OK and you're done.
So as not to leave you in the dark, let's also define these three options:
"Displaying a dialog box" is the Windows dialog box that pops up
notifying you of new mail. "Showing an icon in the system tray" is the
envelope that appears when new mail arrives. "Showing a message in the
bottom right corner of my screen" is the box that comes up giving you
the subject of the message or how many emails.
Additionally, you can customize all your alerts in a very similar
manner: Select the alert you want to change then check or uncheck the
boxes as desired. You can even change what sounds you hear.
Hope that helps take some of the aggregation out of your computing experience!\
Start-> Run-> CMD->Msconfig-> Start up tab-> Uncheck
Yahoo Messenger-> Apply-> Close-> Restart the computer.
Go to Start - Control Panel - Sound - Recording - Recording and you will see a list of connected devices. Check that the Microphone is live and has a green tick and also that the driver name is present. Double click or Right Click the Microphone for setup options. If it is not working you may have to reinstall the sound driver. If this is not working then check Start - Control Panel - Device Manager - Sound, Video and Game Controllers to see if there ay alerts or errors (highlighted in Yellow and Red respectively). Also check Start - Control Panel - Device Manager - System Devices to see if there ay alerts or errors (highlighted in Yellow and Red respectively). If there are no errors then you should be able to use the microphone successfully. The volume may be muted. In Windows, look at the volume control icon on the taskbar. If it is crossed-out, click on the icon and deselect the Mute option. • The volume level may be too low. In Windows, click on the volume control icon on the taskbar, and then use the slider control to increase the volume level. • If headphones are connected to the headphone jack on the computer, your computer's built-in speakers will be turned off.
