I have a Sharp Aquos LC-45GX6U with a TU-GD10U AVC unit. I recently unplugged the units in order to put them into a power strip. When I plugged the units in, neither the power button nor the AVC is responsive, and there is a red blinking light on the panel. It's blinking at a fixed interval, a little faster than once per second. I took out the power strip and plugged them both back into the wall. The second I plug the panel in, the red coma light appears. If I put the unit into service mode input select & vol down & power, the unit works perfectly, and I can watch TV normally. I can then hit the reset button on the AVC unit, the K goes away, and the television works perfectly. Once I turn the TV off, and it stays off, no red light. and then back on, the TV goes back into a coma, and the red light returns. When I was in service mode, I've tried scrolling through the 13 menus, and did an EPP reset menu 13. Still the same problem--unit worked fine until I powered down and attempted to power back up. Red light coma returned. If I disconnect the AVC, the panel will still do the red light coma routine, but the panel will come back to life with the service mode trick. It will only produce the white screen I don't have another 1080p source handy, The red light coma returns once I power off the panel and try to power it back up, even with no AVC attached. So, is there an easy fix for this? Why would it work fine in service mode but not normally?
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Actually, I have heard about this kind of a problem before too.
Let me enquire more about it and I will let you know.

The DC/DC converter went out on your set. When you take the top off of your AVC box look for a 4" X 5" circuit board mounted on the front left corner. I have seen these fail causing you white screen. Order the part from your local Sharp service center. Part # RDENCA089WJZZ
