The glass on it broke so you should take it t your local jewelry store if you already did that take it to a profesional watch store and ask the head person.
You probably visited jewellers, not the proper watch repair shop. Even if the crystal is curved, there are suppliers. If the crystal is not round, then this should be hand made.
A quick look at ebay shows plenty of Bulova watches and only a few looking for a worthwhile price.
I think if you have it repaired for sale it probably won't be worth the effort or expense. If the watch has sentimental or nostalgia value to you I think that is what would make it worth getting a good watchmaker to look at it.
