I think your text document didn't fit the page. I have done that before. It overruns and the extra becomes the lines inbetween. To fix this use microsoft publisher to print it so that you can choose the paper size and the borders and fit the document within the space allowed.
Publisher is a program that makes it easier to make "posters" and "brochures" and "newsletters".
Start the program. Click "New". Click "start a new FLYER", or "start a new BROCHURE", or "start a new NEWSLETTER", to use some of the pre-defined templates that define the layout of your publication (fan-fold, multi-column, et cetera).
try to print a test page .. if u get the lining there then its a problem with the printer drum .. u might need to get it replaced .. if not then its an issue with the settings .. you can also try to reinstall the drivers in that case.,
hi as you have set border less printing in publisher and on printer, have you adjusted the layout guides? on the blank page go to arrange, then to layout guides, adjust the numbers to atleast 0.25 (lowest it will go) and save then try printing, the but remember, hp still has a border due to the print heads position they do not travel over the print area like some printers do, you will always get a small white line no matter what...hope this helps
I don't use that program but perhps I can easy your anxiety a little. You won't lose your brochure if you back it up. Without opening the programs you tried to open your brochure in simply go to the file itself that contains your brochure and copy it to a dvd or a portable media storage. Depending on the size of the file you may be able to zip it and email yourself a copy. Now that your work is safe and away from danger you can try to focus on what is freezing your computer. perhaps instead of trying to convert to PDF format you may try the print command. Instead of printing to your printer, select PDF as your printer. When I create a lengthy project, I always save a few copioes on my computer under different names so i have safety nets just in case I mess up. Good Luck
Does the bottom border show up in Print Preview? Some printers will not print the full page, to include the border if it is too close to the papers edge. If you adjust the border to be further away from the pages edge, it should print. Instead of applying a page border, you may have to draw a border using a rectangle shape and apply the desired line style. You can also try to adjust the border margin to measure from "edge of page" instead of measure from "text". This setting is on the options button located on the page border tab under the Borders and Shading window. This may allow you to adjust the margin enough to be able to print the border.
