Replace batteries on spf-40 model 2273

It would seem that undoing the 4 screws on the back would free the back (there are no screws on the side). Looking closer, the wrist bands seem to overlap the back cover but I have no idea how to remove or if that is necessary. The wrist bands seem to have 2 metal pieces on either side of the bands. Any ideas on how to replace the batteries would be appreciated.

Looking at pictures of the watch , you will need to remove one side of the strap by undoing the screws on the side of the strap.
once you have removed one side of the strap unscrew the four screws on the case back of the watch.
then you will be able to lift the case back of the watch , it has a rubber seal on it which you need to carefull not to break.
Good luck and be carefull.

Your Watch is in Auto or demo mode. Hold down the "Mode" button for 3 - 5 seconds and it will return to time keeping mode.

SOURCE: How do I change the battery in my Timex Iron Man

You will need to remove the wrist first before the cover will come out.Else pull the wrist out and allow it to leave a gap and then you can move the cover out.

How does one replace the battery used to power timex rush T44361

Hi Debra, yours might be similar to my IronMan watch...... 4 small Philips head screws to remove then back comes away to reveal a sticker that has 2 clips either side, use a safety pin point to release the clips and the battery comes off with the sticker! The battery is placed with the total flat side upwards! Hope this helps!

When using the barometer or altimeter on my my pag 40 - 2271 it shows err. How do I fix it? Do you know what page in the users guide shows how or gives directions on how to fix?

Same problem with my SPF-40, module 2273, after a small helical compression spring, silver color, fell out. I could not determine where it is suppose to be located. It could be the barometric reference spring for sensing the barometric pressure.

Battery Replacement

You have to dismantle your watch first.
Check the back of case- if there are visible screws- undo them and take caseback off. You should see the battery. Take it out, read the numbers on battery and replace with the same one.
If you can not find any screws on caseback- you have to undo screws from the dial side, get the movement out and then change the battery.
BE WARNED: if the watch must be opened from dial side, you can easily damage it as some particular skill is needed. Do it on your own risk.

Good luck

Problem with casio sea-pathfinder watch

For all Casio watches go to www.casio.com select "Support" then "Manuals" then "Watches".
You will then be able to enter the 4 digit number in the square box to get the manual for your watch or module inside is actually what the instructions refer to.

The problem of changing functions automatically is called "Auto Display" and can be stopped and started in Sea-Pathfinder SPF-40 (modue 2273) by pressing the bottom left button for 3 seconds.

Adjust not working

i had this problem with mine after a battery replacement. If you open your watch, and look behind the offending button, you'll notice there is a small arm that should fit behind the button. the jeweler that destroyed my O-ring during a battery replacement also failed to line these arms up on one side of the unit. i had to find a REALLY small screw driver and finagle the arm back under the button... Now it's working perfectly... except the whole not waterproof any more part....

Hope this helps.
