Display says ---c - Whirlpool RBS275PD Electric Single Oven

Apart from being a clock the electronic display controls the power supply to the oven. If the electronic display is dead it means that the oven won't work. Two solutions. Get the display replaced OR have a repairman bridge the back of the display unit so the oven will get power but you will have no clock or auto function for your oven.

This is a failure in the electronic range (or oven control) ERC or EOC. You can replace it with a new one, or have it repaired.

Dim display is TOTALLY independent of F7 error.
The display will dim as the display board capacitors wear out - due to the heat. Replace the capacitors on the display board (see my other posts) and your be able to see the F7 error code as bright as can be!

We see this error very frequently at www.fixyourboard.com. It is sometime accompanied by a display that goes blank. The boards can be fixed quickly, reliably and with a long warranty.

I had the same problem... fading on the display. Replaced the display internal panel. It is a common part with other major appliance manufacturers. The problem was corrected.

its the display theat is fading away. I've haad meter's do the same thing after awhile and there's nothing you or I can do. Thanks for using Fixya

Have 2 Thermador ovens, SMW272 and SC302. Both have display failure. Just repaired one with replacement display. It did not require a new control unit or harness. Have not opened up second unit yet as display is still dimly/slightly visible.

Called Thermador and received no offer of replacement parts or service. Numerous other web reports of similar failures. My neighbor has 2 dead ovens also unfixed because of outrageous repair estimates ($600 each). Do not recommend this brand.

Full kit including display, control, and harness ordered on Ebay for $170.

your control must be fried...dacor fault codes are f0 to F8 the display must be faulty..
