After replacing the transmitter batteries several times, I tried replacing the clock batteries. They must have been getting low. Once I put in new batteries in the clock it worked fine. Good Luck.

SOURCE: i have this model and the outdoor temp sensor isnt

My outside display stopped working, but the inside display still worked. I found that one of the two batteries in the inside unit was almost all the way dead. Once I replaced both batteries the outside display worked. I also checked the batteries in the outside unit. After all batteries were installed, I pushed the small button that is inside the battery compartment on the outdoor unit. It's now working perfect..

SOURCE: i put new batteries into both units, the indoor

Sometimes the RF frequency from the outside transmitter loses contact with the clock's frequency ( it has happened to me only twice in 6 years ), and then the outside temp will not show. Simple solution to fix this is: Take down the outside transmitter and the internally mounted clock. Remove batteries from both. Wait about 10 mts. First install batteries in the transmitter, then after about 30 seconds, install batteries in the clock. In about 5 mts, you will find the clock showing the external temp like before.

I have the Atomic Clock model W86111. I had to change the batteries on the outside device. The clock outside temp just flashes 63.5 all the time. How do I make it sync to the device outside?

Remove all batteries from outdoor sensor and weather station.

Press one of the buttons on the weather station at least 20 times to clear all memory.

Verify that the weather station is blank before proceeding (there may be lines painted on
the screen that will show when power is removed).

Leave both units without power for 15 minutes (very important).

Insert fresh batteries into the clock.

Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor.

Press the TX button on the outdoor sensor to transmit RF signal.

Keep the outdoor sensor 5-10 feet from the forecast station.

When RF connection is established, the temperature will appear on the station. Allow the
outdoor sensor and weather station to sit together for 15 minutes to establish a strong
connection.

I have replaced the batteries on. My model no:PP-SIRMT1. The device will not transmit the outside temp to the clock radio. What's next?

My pp-sirmt1 outdoor remote sensor display is blank and the clock displays "- -" for outdoor. I have changed both the remote and clock potteries even though they read "Good" on a battery tester. Can I purchase a replacement outdoor sensor unit?

Outdoor temperature reading shows -40 with wind chill -62. Outdoor temp is in fact +45.

We would recommend a hard reset of your Weather Station. Please verify that you are using a good-quality, standard alkaline battery such as Energizer or Rayovac, and then follow the steps below.

1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each.
2. Make sure the A-B-C switch on both units match. Sometimes changing to a different channel can help.
3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor.
4. Reinstall battery into the display unit.
5. Let the units sit within a couple feet of each other for about 20 minutes to gain a strong connection.

I CANNOT GET MY OUTDOOR TEMP, TO CHANGE, HAS NEW BATTERYS AND POLARITY IS CORRECT. PLEASE HELP, THANX

Hi Jim, what make/model station do you have? Normally there is a search function on the main unit to find the outdoor unit. After that they should sync and the outdoor temperature will reflect the temperature of where the outdoor sensor is located.

Hope this helps.

Radio Shack 63-1090 indoor/outdoor temperature unit. Won't give outdoor readings. Temps are cold, -5F but it always worked before. Put in new batteries in the inside and outside units, wiped outdoor sensor...

Did you reset the sensors after replacing the batteries? Bring the sensor inside and close to the main unit. Replace batteries on both units. Use a thumb tack and stick it into small reset hole near battery compartment to reset both units. If that doesn't work, your sensor needs more troubleshooting or needs to be replaced.

Equity Wireless thermometer Outside temp never registers

From their instructions:

RESTART:
  • RESTART DISTANCE: For best results please bring the outdoor sensor in the house and place 5 feet from the display unit.
  • REMOVE POWER: Remove batteries from the sensor. Next remove batteries (and/or a/c cord) from the display.
  • DISCHARGE ELECTRICITY: With the power source removed, press one of the buttons on the display at least 20 times to clear all stored power. Please do this even if the display is blank to remove any remaining power. Verify the display is blank.
  • UNPOWERED FOR 15 MINUTES: It is important with most of our displays to remain without power for at least 15 minutes.
  • NOTE: Failure to allow a display to rest for 15 minutes can result in failure to connect with the outdoor sensor or missing segment on the display. The instruction manual describes a setup for a new unit that has not had time to build up stored power.
  • BATTERIES: Please be sure you are using fresh batteries tested to a minimum of 1.48, on a voltmeter that reads in numbers.
  • SENSOR FIRST: Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first. Make sure they are installed according to the polarity diagrams in the battery compartment.
  • DISPLAY NEXT: Install batteries (or a/c cord) into the display according to the diagram in the battery compartment.
  • CONNECTION: Allow the sensor and display to remain 5 feet apart for 15 minutes to establish a strong connection. Do not press buttons at this time. You should see a reading on the outdoor temperature area in the first minute.

Outside temp does not read new batterys in both inside & outside unit

Double check the batteries to make sure they are installed correctly. If one of the batteries in the outdoor sending unit is in backwards, it will not send the outdoor data. On the indoor unit, there is typically one battery that is used for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly but that one, you will see the display and the indoor temperature information, but the outdoor information will not be displayed.
