/discription-of-settings/
/additional_settings/

by reviewing your information that you provided you state that the unit in a non-programmable unit, that means you have to use the pre-set options, they cannot be changed, only someone that is a programmer, if you want a programmable unit than you should buy one, because every time something goes wrong you have to re program the unit. good luck

Testimonial: "I used to be able to set separate temps, one for cooling, one for heating. Now when I set a temp, it is for both htg-cooling. It just started doing it today. THANKS !!"

Elp with Peco TA-170 Thermostat setting?

The Peco TA-170 thermostat is designed to control both heating and cooling, and it appears that it may not allow for separate temperature settings for heating and cooling. However, you can adjust the set point temperature for both heating and cooling modes at the same time by following these steps:
  1. Press the "SET" button to enter the programming mode.
  2. Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust the temperature set point. The display will show the current temperature set point for both heating and cooling modes.
  3. When you have set the desired temperature, press the "SET" button to save the new set point.
To reset the thermostat to its factory settings, follow these steps:
  1. Press and hold the "RESET" button for three seconds.
  2. The display will show "RST", indicating that the thermostat is resetting.
  3. After a few seconds, the display will go blank and then turn back on, indicating that the reset is complete.
Please keep in mind that resetting the thermostat to its factory settings will erase all programmed settings and return it to its default settings. You will need to reprogram the thermostat to your desired settings after the reset.

My honeywell electric thermostat is on 70 degrees but my heater system for a moblile home blows cold air after it reaches 68 degrees why?

Thermostats have multiple issues when you start checking them against thermometers.

1) the built-in thermometer may not match the set temperature because one or both need calibration. Compare the built-in to an external thermometer and see if there is any adjustment to make them match. Record the setting on the thermostat and the temperature when it starts and stops -- there should be a 1-3 degree range which may be adjustable. The set point should be in the middle of the on-off temperature spread.
2) the thermostat has a heat anticipator setting which may be set poorly -- turning off the heat before it reaches the set point - the fan normally runs for 1-2 minutes after the heat source is off. The anticipator is used to stop heating before reaching the set point as there are still a lot of BTUs coming out during the fan run-down -- usually 1-2 minutes.

In the cooling mode for zone 1, why won't the temperature stay as set on the cool setting?

If it 2 degree cooler then that's fine .adjust your thermostat 2 degrees higher so you will get the temperature

What are the numbers on the metal strip on the inside of my thermostat from 1.0 @ the bottom too .2 at the top it has a bronze sliding clip with point on it I moved it and not sure if my temp setting

You shouldn't be messing around inside the thermostat. You have now changed the setting on the heat anticipator. This control is used to set the heat, so the heat shuts down before and in anticipation of the heat reaching its set point so it doesn't overshoot it. This thermostat will have be to reset by a pro. I believe it would be cheaper to just buy a new digital thermostat.

Rheem split system condenser high pressure limit/safety needs resetting frequently before it reaches the set temp of 76 degrees faren. what's wrong and what do i need to check?

Is the outdoor fan running? The fan cools the coils and compressor, therefore keeping the high pressure low enough to run. Either the fan is not working or its not spinning fast enough. Check the capacitor, or just replace it.

I am trying to lower my temperature to cool my house but it will not go any lower than 78, is there anything i can do to reset or lower the temperature?

Hi,
Many t-stats will not let you go within less than 2 degrees of the heat set point....

Lower the heating set point and then you will be able to lower the cooling setpoint..

Compressor don't statr in heat mode, when I set high speed indoor fan and heat set "High heat". But unit working good, when I set a Low heat and thermostat on Low. After start on this mode I move...

check your airflow. grills open, filter clean etc. typically when a unit runs once and won't come back on without a reset it points to a safety switch that is kicking the unit out. By cycling power you are resetting the switch until the next trip. Many times related to lack of airflow.

I have aPlasma tv sitting above the fireplace, is it safe to use the fireplace?

Hello; If you add heat to the air where the set is located, you are asking for trouble. Just because it is located above the fireplace does not mean added heat. Try putting your hand on the top of the set after running for 10 minutes. Then check again every 20 minutes. If at any point the top of the set feels fairly hot, you may need to relocate set. Once relocated, do the same test. Plasma TV's run hot after an hour. Give your set a cool down period after every 2-3 hours. This will extend you sets life. If the set is not much hotter away from the fireplace after these tests, you can probably safely put it back at the fireplace. John
