Take the seat off

  • Open tool box, at rear of seat, with key and unhook or unbolt the seat from inside tool box.
  • Pull lever on right or left side, up under the seat. It can also be at the rear of the seat, right or left side, again up under the seat. Lift seat off up and to the rear. Sometimes it's hooked on both sides with a rod or cable connecting both sides. These can break. Make sure both are unhooking.
  • Same as above only you use a key.
  • Remove the two bolts on either side at the rear of the seat. Pull seat to rear.
  • Nuts or bolts, at the rear and below seat, under the rear fender Remove bolts holding down the rear seat . Remove seat and then remove two bolts, at the rear, holding the front seat on.
  • Unlock lever on side of seat. Seat then pivots on two hinges to open. Can open to the right or left. Might have no lock.
  • Push button on side. Left side, I haven't found a push button on the right side... yet ! Can be locked or unlocked with a key.
  • Pull lever at front of seat, right or left side. Seat lifts up with the hinge at the rear.
  • Pull lever at rear of seat, right or left side. Seat lifts up with hinge at front.
  • Pull lever at front of seat, right or left, and whole seat comes off. Seat has pegs underneath that fit into rubber grommets on the frame.

If it is PULLING to the right, is it STEERING or TORQUE that is pulling it?

What I mean is this... If ONLY your Right Front Wheel is pulling with the Acceleration and the LEFT is not,m you will have a Torque Pull,

You may have a problem with your
    a. Left CV Axle
    b. Transaxle Internal Failure

2008 Mazda Cx 7 Grand Tour: Tires rotated, basic 4 wheel allignment, car still pulled to right. 2nd visit 4 wheel allignment they reversed the strut mount to enhance adjustment, still pulls to the right....

I have a 2007 CX-7 and my vehicle did the same thing. There is a Technical Service Bulletin on the the problem that explains how to correct the pull. It basically states that the technician has to rotate the position of the strut mount on the left side 180 degrees to the right which should lower the left side caster angle. Any good alignment shop will know that the right side caster angle should be .5 degrees higher on the right to compensate for the crown of the roadway. For example my readings were 3.2 on the left and 2.8 on the right. This is reversed and is why my car pulled to the right. After the strut mount was rotated my reading were 2.4 on the left and 2.8 on the right. That all but eliminated the pull. Verify your caster readings on the alignment printout. If this was already done then there isnt much more that can be corrected. Mine still has a slight drift to the right.

Have 99 saturn SL2. car pulls left upon hard braking. replaced right front caliper which I thought was bad but didn't solve the problem. upon loosening of brake hose to right caliper, with a light brake...

Assuming that the Tires for both Left and Right are:
    1. Equal Sizes.
    2. Both Properly Inflated - this is a common problem.
    3. Have equal wear on them. Example: If the Left Tire is balding on the outside and the Right Tire is balding on the inside, this too is definite sign of an aligment issue; and will cause unequal braking.
Pulling left (or right) during a hard brake might actual mean your Wheel Alignment is way off. When you get one, get a 4-wheel and not just a 2-wheel alignment.
Also: you thought the right thing, but the Left Caliper or Left Brake Hose might also be bad (sticking) causing the left side to brake "harder" then the right side.
You can also Bleed the entire System (all four wheels) starting at the Right Rear, then Left Rear, then Front Right, followed by the Left Front.

Brake pedal is hard, pulls to driver side

May have a leaking right front caliper thats not applying evenly with the left.Look at the front wheels for excess brake dust. The left wheel should have more dust then the right. Also front left rotor may be pitted causing more friction and excess grabbing on the left.Any brake shop will pull the wheel off and inspect the rotor for free.Dont let them try to sell you two rotors or calipers if only one is bad.Replacing both right and left brake pads is OK
