Sounds like an issue with the motherboard or a short in the screen circuits.
As it usually costs more to replace this than most sets are worth I suggest purchase a new one.

The problem is neither the lights or the power board, but is the light board, or a bad connection with a cable.

Under settings you will find share and connect you can turn on Miracast and find your tv and connect to it.

Note: your tv must support Miracast.

SHARING CONTENT BETWEEN DEVICES ON YOUR LASER TV

Look up your Vizio model and see it it supports something called DLNA or Miracast. If it does you go to into your phone settings and turn on WiFi and Nearby Devices (DLNA). On your tv go into the settings and look for anything that says DLNA or Miracast and turn it on. Have it search or scan for compatible devices. If it finds you phone it will connect. Your phone will confirm that a connection has been established and then you can simply start playing your music from your phone.

Do you ,mean Netflix? Are you trying to connect a device to your TV?

Probably you need a HDMI connection. If using a tablet such as the kindle FIRE HD you will need a HDMI/Micro HDMI (a + d) HDMI cable.
If using the new Fire HDX then you need a smart TV that is Miracast enabled. Pain in the bottom :(

You do need an active internet connection connected to the TV and a NetFlix account to connect to NetFlix.

To setup an NetFlix account, you have to do that from your computer.

Some of the LG broadband TV's that had the same problem required a new main board. This should be a warranty issue and no cost to you for an in home repair.

I suggest you call LG for service on the TV. When you call be sure to tell them you are not with the TV. They will have you on the phone trying to trouble shoot the issue---could take almost 30 minutes. Be sure to have the complete model number (example 42LC2D UA.UASLLJR) and the complete s/r number (example 912KMN003408) before you call LG for service.
