You thread the machine up top as normal including threading the needle. Then, bring thread under foot through slot on the side of the foot and wrap once from back to front around the screw with rubber washer that holds on the presser foot. Insert your bobbin and close the slide plate almost all the way(leave it open by about 1/2 inch) so that the metal piece on the underside of the slide plate pushes down the metal pin in the bobbin. This will engage the bobbin for winding. Run machine via foot control until your thread is even with the outer black ring on the bobbin, do not overfill! Now cut the upper thread between presser foot and needle plate, your bobbin is wound. Change your upper thread or just start sewing.
