Jbl am in protect mode

Hi there. I have a JBL Grand Touting 600 watt rms amp and it is pushing two kicker 15's. It worked fine for about 6 months and then all of the sudden it stopped working and the amp went into protection mode. I checked wiring and fuses, all seem fine. I don't know too much about hooking up sound systems so any help on what is wrong will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I have buy JBL four way channel amplifier 3 months before. Nearly 2 times my amplifier is not working. Red light is glowing even wen ma car is in off conditions and amplifier is not working. help me

Hi, Looks your amp has gone into "protect" mode, the first thing I would check is the fuse, should be under the bonnet (hood) about 15 cm's (6" or so) from the battery. I've found a couple of sites that may be able to help with your problem.

I have 2 12 inch kicker rt dual 2 ohm subs. On a kicker cx1200.1 i want to kno how to hook it up to 2ohm to the amp. And if i can add another 10 inch kicker rt 2ohm sub in the future.

Do to the impedance Of your sub u can't run it @2ohms its going to either be @1ohm or 4ohms and your amp isn't 1ohm stable and u will risk damaging your amp. So your only option is to run it @4ohms and on a good note your sub is 100-600 watts RMS and your amp will push 400-500 watts RMS @4ohms. Now if you want to run 2 sub's in the future That amp will work perfect because it pushes 1,200watts RMS @2ohms and to wire your 2 sub's @1ohm just follow the steps in the image below. Hope this helped.25345194-v0hbouy2nvquqteoroa5j5rq-3-0.png

Which amplifier i should use with JBL CS-1205T

this sub woofer tube has a rms rating of 275 watts... try using a kicker or orion 600 watt mono amp to run this. the brand name is what tell you about how good an amp is for instance the names i just mentioned rate their amp by standard play frenquencies where as other lower brand names rate their amps by the max out put on certain subs at certain frequencies which may lower their impedance and create more power although you will never play your sub at those frequencies. as for the max power of your sub of 1100 watts that is more than like only at a certain frequency so always only double your rms rating of your sub to find max power handling.

How many watts are in the kicker comp zr600 amp? i was told that it was a 1000 watt amp. i just want to make sure that it is a 1000 watt amp and not a 600 watt amp. i am powering two 15'' kicker comp subs...

  • Amplifier Type: Dual Channel
  • Bridgable: Bridgable
  • RMS Power at 4 Ohms: 150 W x 2
  • RMS Power at 2 Ohms: 300 W x 2

How i wire my sub to my jbl gto301-1iiamp with 2 Hifonics HFi12D4

If the amp is 1200 watts at 2 ohm stable you will want to set up the speakers as parrallel and bridge the amp. That means conncect the speakers with + to + and - to -. Look at the amp connections. Usually thereare connects that look like this:
+ -
+ - + -

If yours look like this use the diagram on top. You will use the + for the left ouput on the amp to the right - on the amp. This will allow you to use all the power from the amp. Be sure to lower the gain as to not pop the speakers or amp.

I wonder if i get two kicker cvx 10 can be push by jl audio 500.1

It can but it'd be a waste for your subs. 1 of those by itself will handle that amp. it'll push them just not really hard, i'd recommend an upgrade to a 1100-1200 watt rms amp if you're gonna run 2 cvx's. if you only run one sub that amp'll work well...

What Amp would i need to push three Kicker L7 12's?

Hello,

It depends on the specific subs and exactly what you want out of them. You have practically unlimited choices for amps.

The 10" L7 has a power range of from 30-600 watts RMS, the 12" from 50-750 watts, and the 15" from 100-1000 watts.

So if you have the 10's, you would want an amp that puts out at least 90 watts RMS and not more that 1,800. Unless you are really into SPL and have an unlimited budget, it's probably best to go somewhere in between.

Keep in mind that these Kickers need to be in a proper enclosure. They like a little more volume to work as compared to RF's or MTX's and some others.
