It asked for a password at start up,I didn't set one I tried 3 times now I'm locked out
This was a common problem with Toshiba back then. The bios password was created by faulty firmware and there is no password to satisfy it. The second issue is that laptops do not have a bios reset jumper anymore . to clear this password you will need to build a Toshiba loopback on a db25 and short circuit the jopen1 line to the bios chip.
